I need to kill some time Monday and Tuesday during the day. Looking for tournaments (less than $120) that have good structure and give me lots of play.

Staying at the Venetian so I'm partial to that neck of the woods but I'd head to the other end for the right tourney.

Anyone have any recommendations?

Forget the lots of play. Go crush the pho tourneys. Mostly tourists, super soft, most, especially the early ones run with overlays. If you bust, sit in the cash games until the next one starts.

Off the top of my head, I'd say Caesars, at $100-$125 (depending on time of day).

Decent structure, comfortable room, friendly staff, and this guy will just hemmorage chips.

I'm in the process of updating my Vegas tournament spreadsheet. If you'd like a copy when it is done, let me know.

I had a trip where I stayed at Elara and made a mint doing exactly this. The tournament was easy mode.

Aria has the best structure for $125 buy in, but the tournament will last 9-10 hours. Venetian structure is about the same but $150 buy in. PHO tourneys are a much faster structure and last about 4-5 hours.

Just checked with Caesars. They've F-ed up their structure.

I concur with the Aria comment (though still checking with them for latest structure).

Jesus, 1k/2k to 2k/4k to 4k/8k? Get your big stack accumulated before then....

The pho tourneys are more like 3-4 hours, shorter if there is an overlay. Between 3 of us we had 10 entries, cashed 4 times and bubbled twice. Half the tournies we played had overlays as much as $500+.

No surprise there. I remember when I visited Vegas and the Venetian Deepstack Extravaganza was up against some Caesars series (Megastack or something?) and the Venetian structure was far superior in the middle stages for not becoming a huge shovefest and actually allowing some poker skill to come into play.

When I was there in May, it wasn't so bad.

Only two 100% jumps, though nearly everybody outside of the BGinGA influence will always have one 100% jump. 50% bumps with 20 minute levels was cool by me for low cost events. Now that Caesars-related properties are introducing a 400% jump, I guess I cannot be surprised. Poker just does not warrant the dealer expense or the floor space.

We played in Bally's 9am, there is also a 12pm, 3pm 8mp as well. $55 and was 3 tables with rebuys for first hour. Think they finished up around 12, blinds went up every 15 min if I recall

busted out at final table, 2 all in and me and villain in side pot, villain pushes after flop, I am open ended, blank blank. One all in made flush, villain KK held up for side pot.

Sure there are tournaments at Linq, Flamingo, & Harrah's as well, just check their web sites.

Aria $125 is a deepstack. They often get 100+ players and go 10-12 hours. Haven't been in a couple of years, so my info may be outdated.

If you cant get into a good tourney a juicy 40/80 mix game is always waiting for you @ Bellagio ♣️♦️♠️♥️

On my first trip to Vegas I sat in the 40/80 mix game at Bellagio. It was O8, Stud8, Badugi and 2-7 Triple Draw Lowball. I ran like I was playing on godmode. I just couldn't lose, I'd make Aces full and nut low, etc. I was going on 2 hours of sleep after partying at the Bluff Magazine WSOP party @ Sapphires and only played for 2 hours. Sat down and bought in for $2,500 in $10 chips and cashed out for $5,200 after two hours of play. It was my greatest cash game experience and I long to one day return and experience that again
