I've played at the Seabrook poker room a few times, but I'm pretty sure there's other stuff around. Where's the best place to go for a Holdem tournament on Saturday for a $100ish buy in, other than the big CT casinos.

Jokerz (Manchester Card Room) in Manchester NH has a tournament on Saturday I believe but not sure what time or stakes. There's a card room in Milford NH (River Card Room) but not sure if that's close to you.

Seabrook $50 at 4:30pm is a good value, bad players, and decent enough structure.

All NH card rooms have a 30% rake for tournies though, better off playing cash

Thanks. Milford isn't too far, but it looks like Saturday they're having a $200 deepstack, which is cool, but i bit more than I was looking to send this weekend. Manchester only lists tournaments on weeknights on their website - that's weird.

Download the Poker Atlas App. Click the bottom tab for Tourneys, scroll over to Saturday on the top arrow. WIll show every tourney in a 200 mile radius. Youre welcome

I've played cash at seabrook a couple of times and I'm a little above even there, but I'm itching for a tournament, so it might be seabrook this weekend.
Either that or the 2:00 $100 bounty tournamnet at foxwoods

Well that's awesome. Thanks

Anything happening on Cape Cod? I'll be there this weekend.

No. Except for the Eastern poker tour, which bounces around from bars to VFW halls doing charity tournaments, there's pretty much no legal poker in MA.

I tried the EPT but the payouts were low vs the number of players, and the vibe was pretty meh. I love our $25 home games + a few bottles of liquor. Cant be that for the fun factor.

I think Jokerz has a $100 or $150 on Saturdays. I'm a reg but don't tourney.

The Manchester room has a brand new dedicated tournament room. They have a big tourney on Tuesday nights starting at 5pm which likely conflicts with your schedule but I would just give the room a call and ask about Saturdays. Don't look at the website, it doesn't tell you anything.

Recent pic I took of the tournament room (noon on a Friday, no tournies running obvs). Jokerz is very clean, staff is super friendly. Its without a doubt the best room in the state in terms of food quality, service and now most of the Salem, NH guys (after Salem closed last month) have migrated north to here. There has been a 40% increase in tournaments this summer too.

Any of these places in NH run $1/$1 ?

All run 1/2 and 2/4. Jokerz always has these games running and during peak weekend hours 1/2 PLO8 is running. We've been doing occasional 2/4 NLHE and PLO hi mix game lately, but a couple of the guys who've been driving that have been taking poker breaks.

$50. 30% of prize pool is the rake. No definite payouts, all based on entries. usually top 12-15% of field gets paid

Could be fun, especially as you start off deep stacked.

Any pics of Seabrook? Classy or sketchy? Jokerz looks great.

Seabrook in similar condition to Jokers, food is probably at 6.5/10, prices are pretty good on food and drink, nothing outrageous. Cash games mor profitable with no 30% skimmed off the top for rake.

Do they have NLHE $1/$2 running then all the time? I dont see the details on that site.

Saturday at Rockingham they are auctioning off all the gaming stuff from the track among other things....

I've been to seabrook on weeknights - it's pretty slow - they'll run 1/2 nlhe as long as they have enough players. And if they have more, they'll open a second table, and I suppose a third and fourth, if they have enough dealers. So I think the answer to your question is yes. I've been there for the saturday tournament once, and I didn't really pay attention to what was going on in the cash room, but I'm assuming it was busy, because there were about 80 people in the tournament.

Yeah a tourney day may actually be a good time to hit the cash tables as players that bust out will probably want some action.

Manchester runs 1/2 from noon to 1am every day. Its never not running.

The Milford room is struggling, I've gone at 6pm on a Friday and no games running at all with staff that don't really give a shit. The upside is that the Milford room uses Paulsons and they are moving to Nashua in November so I expect a huge flock of players to go there from MA/NH.

Now I'm googling pictures of their chips. What are they, ceramics?

The Salem place used ceramics. Here is a bragament stack I had there playing 1/2. Not pictured: Times I left with an empty wallet.

EDIT: The chips and cards are not listed in the auction description or pictures.

The Wynn is going to crush these card rooms.

Not really. Plenty of degens everywhere up north that have zero interest in driving to mass. Some of the mass folks that come north will certainly migrate to Wynn but its not going to crush anything.
