Are those 5 cent poker chips customs or is that a standard denomination for some manufacturers? I am new and trying to learn as much as I can :D

Few manufacturers offer denominations under $1. Almost all fracs you see here that are on high end (material) chips are semi-custom or fully custom, or are obsolete casino stock.

The Key west nickel and quarter are stock but that beautiful Aurora Star set in post #35 are all relabeled except for the $1's.

This may be the route that I go when building a Cali cash set on the THC mold.

@Saoliver did an awesome job on those. I just don't know if he labeled over with unlaminated labels over the inlay or if he did full inlay replacement.

The full label replacement on THC mold is a great way to go.

You can find great THC solids in fantastic colors for a very reasonable price if you look hard enough.

Look at what @sheikh617 did with milled THC solids (used his picture here without permission)

This set is absolute fire!!!

My 5¢ brown chips were Aurora Star $2 chips. Murdered and added @Gear labels. The red chips were Aurora Star $5, and the yellow were Aurora Star $20.

Full replacement with Gear labels. I bought the 25¢ and $5 already done. I did the 5¢ myself.

I think best is to go with (semi-)custom chips.

See here.

There's also a possibility to build a micro cash set. If you don't find 5c or 10c chips, you can still use solid starburst for instance or go to the relabel route.

See here, I could find all the denom I needed for my small 6-max set. However, it's way more expensive than my custom set.

Not overly expensive ($1- $1.50 per chip, but a pain in the butt to find!

Absolutely love these chips and they make dimes as well! I own about 400 of them but no need with plenty of nickles in play! The Fan of Cards quatters and one dollar chips are by far the toughest to find! I know the recent scrub donkey chips had nickles and quarters but I doubt anyone would sell... yet!

With the costs of fracs I would definitely say semi custom ceramics would be the way to go! Best if Luck with the serch and welcome back to chipping!!

Hi mate what case is that you’re using to store your chips please?

Well... this one just about has a fork in it.... just about finished up now! Thank you soo much @Chipandchair for helping me out immensely on these!

Left set would like to add one more rack of fifty cents, take out the mixed rack of $1 and $5s. This will be my $.05/$.10 $20 buy in set! Using the 50mm GCR BCC chips for rebuys... if it gets roudy!

The right set would love to finish that rack of dimes, move the extra $1 chips over from set A and remove 2 barrels of $25s... I feel like (80) $25 chips and (20) $100 chips should be plenty in the $40 buy in set!!

Who k ow maybe someday will actually get these beauties in play!! Very close to complete now!

Love the colors!

Love my majestic set with the yellow nickel!

Didn’t even consider this when I bought my micro stakes set, but if you’re in love with a set that doesn’t have a stock nickel, you can pretty easily get Labels made with @Gear snd apply them to another set from the chip (e.g, peel off the stickers on the stock 100s or whatever and replace). It’ll cost a bit extra, but if you’re in love with a particular set, it’ll save you a lot of heartache.
