Here in SE Michigan we have several best games.
Detroitdad
Paulo

Just a few of the places I love to play poker. Casino or charity almost never for me!
We are very fortunate around here.

Some great games in the Chicagoland area. Abby, Payback, DJMarc all host a great game. There a quite a few people that have games I haven't played in yet, but I am sure they run a great game also. Now...if I could only get to those games a little more often...

What's so great is that most of the cash games in my hometown I sold all of the chipsets too so it's nice to be able to play with quality chips each and every session :)

I'm lucky - live fairly close to some great people who host some fun games. MikesDad, Krafticus, Bo, and another generous non PCF'r, Andy. And of course we now have two really nice poker rooms in nearby casinos. I don't have any pics, but I'm sure some of these guys may...
Yeah I've posted a few pics from both MikesDad's and Boh's game. Krafticus doesn't host a regular game anymore, but when it was going he had a monthly league that regularly had 4-5 tables going with cash afterwards. Another local, Chris, hosts a game on occasion. Chippy is designing a custom set, once he gets that there will be another game in the mix.

All of these games are fun, with a great group of guys. I'd say the best game, however, is any game with Chippy when he is in full on spew mode. It is both horrifying and glorious.

Safe to say on any given first Saturday of the month the Speak EC was the 3rd largest casino in Maryland, and with a better tournament structure than the top two.

My closest casino in hours away, so I guess The Hitching Post counts as local - and that place would be really, really tough to beat.

Best home game ever for me was the first BBotB that was at my place. Jenn the dealer. 1/1 circus game table uncapped buy in. Crazy huge pots for the stakes (was more like a 5/10 game). Some of my favorite people from the community. Tourney played with actual Dunes chips, not commems. Paz' crack bread. BBQ. Etc.

Best regular home game is the .25/.50 at Bergs. All the degens come away from their regular game to play circus games. Game plays bigger than the blinds would imply. Great cast of regs. Great regular pro dealer. Great beer and food. Game is so good even Gopher and Butler occasionally drive up from NY and NJ to play in it. Courage's games look to be the closest thing I've seen on the forums to the spirit of our games.

There will be pics coming soon from those who have them readily available I'd guess.

The best atmosphere in south-central Wisconsin is Trihonda's home games. Fantastic tables & chairs, great chips, and a spread of consumables that make to want to bring a sleeping bag and move in! Quality of games is also good with only a few isolated incidents of douchebaggery. Eric goes out of his way to make sure his guests are well received and enjoy the evening. The stakes are affordable to a Midwest paycheck but the "fun to investment ratio" is exceptionally high.

^^ Thanks for the kind words Sparky!

Ya, I've learned so much in the last couple of years (all credit goes to the members of sites like PCF). My understanding of how to play (and host) has evolved greatly.

I greatly restrict who gets on my invite list, because I want people to be a good fit, regardless of skill. The few isolated douchebaggery incidents were from new unvetted people getting introduced, and though I posted about them here, 90% of the people attending those games had no idea anything was amiss. I don't even think those incidents were all that big of a deal (just my inexperience with certain facets of hosting).

If you don't introduce new people to the game, then your game will die after a while. With new people comes some risk. Well worth it, because there are some awesome people playing my game now, that I didn't know a year ago. To be honest, I can't even recall any negative issues within the last year....

OK, one incident where a regular shows up for the Thursday night MTTD cash game, and blatantly steals away the redhead in the picture below (for a booty call). At the time, I wasn't happy 'bout that, lol... But can't really fault the guy, right? ha!

A sweet table, nice chips, and free redheads? Man, I should have looked you up when I was in Wisconsin last week...

Careful. I think you've caught your red head quota. Acquiring another one could lead to Mrs Z taking half the "children" in a custody battle. [emoji33]

Just watch out when the "Human Abacus" Eva shows up. Don't let her attractiveness fool you. She will clean out your stake faster than you can say "What the Hellmuth?" !

Erik @Trihonda's place is great although I only get to play there once a year for MTTD. Amazing host, great man cave with terrific tables, chairs, and good people like Mike etc!

Forrest's @inca911's place is also great. Amazing food every time and beautiful Vineyards as well as a very gracious and fun host!

@chase's game was great too. Really all the guys there were very nice. Laid back and there to have fun. Hope you can get a monthly (or even more often) game going.

Lastly I like to think my game is pretty good too. Custom tables, CPC chips, Paulsons, Video Poker, and Fur therapy compliments of my GSD Anna
