Hey guys, having trouble finding good casinos to play low stakes tourneys.

I just played a $250+$5 + $100 (Bounty) tourney at Borgota AC which wasn't bad. Though I didn't mind that, I'm really looking for a cheaper buyin since I'm just getting back into the swing of things.

Really looking for a $60-100 buy in, not including the casino rake.

Someone mentioned Rivers in PA but are there any other options in the Tri-State area?

Thanks for your help

Download the Bravo poker app, it is connected to most card rooms in the US, and posts live cash games and tournament info.

Live! and Rivers in Philly are good choices.
Hey right on. At Borgota someone told me about Rivers. I'm gonna go check that out next week.

Haven't heard of Live!

I just checked them them out and its exactly what I'm looking for. Thank you!

I am in North Jersey and really don't play many tournaments. However the casinos my group hits up usually are Wind Creek in Bethlehem PA (Former Sands) and Resorts World in Catskills NY. Not sure if they would be too far for you but they are both much closer option for me in the North compared to AC. Both good casinos in general so maybe check out their schedule. Also Parx in PA is huge poker and busy poker room although I have not been their yet, this might actually be a good choice for you so check them out too.

Good Luck

Awesome. I appreciate the input

Has anyone played at Resorts World Catskills lately? How are the games?

I've played at Wind Creek a few times recently, and the games are good, but Resorts World is closer.

Yes I am there on many Saturdays. Games are good and promos are good. I like it better than WC because it is closer, the promos like High Hand are higher dollar value and run for longer hours, the drive is just better besides distance i.e. trucks on 78, and the smoke at WC sucks whereas RW is smoke free.
Let me know your comparison if you go as I have not been to WC in about 5 years so would like to here a recent opinion.

Yeah, the smoke at WC sucks. But the games are pretty good, and frequent tournaments. I'll try Resorts World soon.

RW just had a 50K guarentee last week. And a recent PLO tourney that you dont see often. Looks like they trying to up their game a little.

@ChipTalker Where in North Jersey are you? I am trying to make a concerted effort to get back into live casino poker and I hit up WC today (been about a year since I walked into any casino for that matter). I honestly don't think I've been here since it was Sands. I couldn't believe the amount of smoke just walking through the casino, I still think I smell it on me!

I was going to hit up RW but decided not to. I think I know where I'm going on my next trip. RW is about 10 miles closer to me here in Jersey.

NorthWest Bergen county, about 65 min from RW. No smoke and better promos plus it is closer so easy choice for me.
