The last one sold for over 10k if I'm not mistaken. It's just a scarcity thing.
That's why I would never understand single chip collectors...for this 1 chip, I can get a deep, playable set of Le Noirs or Spotted Aztar Tourney set.

Yes it is.
One of these days @Psypher1000 will need to give me a crash course in individual chip collecting. I search through thousands of chip listings everyday looking for playable sets, completely ignorant to the value of single chips. Guess I need to spend a few days studying over at the Chip Board.

There's your crash course, really. That, and the CC>CC official club board (The Chip Board is actually independent of the club, although that's where the majority of activity occurs for various reasons). Pay attention over there and you'll start to pick up information and identify trends fairly quickly.
That first inlay looks like a bad Renoir.
