Found this a couple months ago and have been steaming it a bunch on an extra machine.

Bears just chill at the falls during the salmon migration and eat fish all day to fatten up before hibernation season.

Not everyone's thing, no doubt, but I think it's pretty cool.

This is great:

People in the comment section get really into it - they have names and numbers for certain bears and chat it up with rangers about them.

For a while, there were an insane amount of fish jumping up the falls and dozens of bears would be there. It reminded me of the "Bert and Ernie go fishing" episode.

The seagulls live large on half-eaten fish that get discarded in favor of fresher ones.

I don't know if someone is panning/zooming the camera manually or if it is automated.

Edit: Just wanted to add that I learn the most awesome new words from reading your posts, jb. Thank you man.

I remember watching a film about this and the really big dudes would only eat the brains and just waste the rest. They said it's because brains have the most fat and nutrition and they didn't want to waste valuable stomach space in the quest for obesity.

When it gets dark, the live feed switches to highlights but it usually indicates live or not live.

I wouldn't know a sockeye from a steelhead if one bit me, but I recall reading somewhere that one of these fish can contain upward of 4500 calories.

These bears are worse at fishing than I am!!
