Hear ye, hear ye, hear ye! Placeholder for the next installment of the BbtB at the 828 Club/Hood Poker. Watch this space! More coming at you soon!

THIS IS A CHIPPING EVENT SO PREFERENCES TO CHIPPERS FIRST. (Very much like the 2019 event at the 828 Club and I will be cooking).

Schedule:
  1. CHIPS!!!!!!!! Who is bringing what?
  2. 10:30AM - 12:30PM: Doors open for early arrivals games and chipping!
  3. 1PM - finish: Main tournament (828 Tournament will be used)
  4. Post Tournament - Until Late (or Early Next Morning): Cash games as desired (limit, no-limit, carnie, bridge, go fish)
  5. Victuals and beverages
    1. Delicious food served for lunch/evening/night/later (Guinness stew, pulled pork, roasted chicken, choucroute or some such: You get the idea.)
    2. Good beer and whiskey (didn't you hear that beer and whiskey build immunity from the virus? You didn't? I'm so immune right now.)
  6. Coming in from out of town?: PM me and we will get you sorted.
  7. Chips from ABC and CPC ordered.

Tournament Information (T10K+Progressive Bounty):
  1. Tournament Directors: @RocAFella1 and @sat guru
  2. Players: 29 max. Chippers have preference until 14 days before the tournament then we will open it up to others.
  3. Cost: $100 entry fee includes $70 Tournament Buyin ($20 progressive bounty/$50 entry), food and limited edition chip(s)
  4. Start:
    1. Please arrive no later than 12:30PM so that we can do the buy-in and take care of seating arrangements.
    2. 1PM sharp (people can be blinded in if arriving late)
  5. Buy-in and re-buy: $70
    1. $50 for 10,000 chips
    2. $20 for progressive bounty
  6. Payouts: First four places paid out (40%/27%/19%/14%)
  7. Rebuys: Unlimited for first four levels
  8. Bounties:
    1. Progressive bounty structure: Bounties will be $20 in $5 chips. When a person is knocked out 50% of their bounty (rounded up to the nearest $5) is immediately cashed out and the remainder is added to that person's bounty. E.g. A has their own bounty and an additional $15 in bounties for a total of $35 in bounties (i.e. 7x$5 chips). If B knocks A out, B immediately cashes $20 and B's total bounty is now increased by $15. If C has only their bounty ($20), then if D knocks C out, D would immediately cash $10 and $10 would be added to D's bounty. (Every rebuy adds an additional $20 bounty.)
    2. 2019 Champion "Last Person Standing" Elimination Bounty: Additional $20 bounty to the player who busts Battle by the Bay 2019 champion @ovo from the tournament. (If @ovo rebuys he is not eliminated from the tournament.) . This bounty stands alone from the progressive bounty and is immediately cashed by the person who busts him out.
  9. Structure/blinds/BB Ante:
    1. BB Ante: Any ante goes into the pot before a player bets unless that player has less than 2BB. If a player has less than 2BB, then the player places the BB into the pot first with the remainder of that player's stack as the ante. (I.e. A has 1.5BB, then A bets 1 BB and 0.5 BB in ante. If A is called by 3 players then the maximum A can win is 4BB and the 0.5BB ante.) I appreciate that there are different approaches to BB antes which are debated at length elsewhere, this is the way we will be playing it.
    2. Structure/blinds: (Stay tuned!)

Getting married, doing honeymoon, and attending another family members wedding on all 3 of those weekends.

I'll have to keep an eye out for future meetups to see if I can fly in!

Le bummer. Would love to get you up here. Have you ever thought of the Bay Area for your honeymoon? It can not rain for days ...

We will get you soon enough!

Love seeing these notifications pop up.

2nd is great. 15th is questionable. 23rd likely out. Lots up in the air with a new job likely coming online next month, will keep you posted.

Order for CPC memorial chips placed. A big thank you to Classic Poker Chips and @David Spragg. His team is very busy but he found a way to squeeze me in! Don't be like me! Give him 3-4 months of lead time.

Continuing the Chinese calendar (year of the rat) theme. If you have last year's chip and this chip you will have all of the reds, oranges, pinks and purples from the CPC palette. Next year's will be greens or blues.

@Jeevansluck -- come rep. the Canadians!
I'm working towards making some of these meets a reality for me. I hope to make at least one meet in USA this year. That's the goal.

For some personal reasons, which I'm sorting through to correct, I'm unable to travel at the present time.

Can't wait to rep PCF someday as Canuck from BC, Canada. We love our chips too and we've got a pretty decent contingent of chippers.

Looks like a great event you are planning! Look forward to living vicariously through the pr0n
