I have decided to sell off some of the chips I don't expect to use, the first lot is a barrel (20) of Pyramid Casino $100s that have been damaged by felt marker. I purchased these with the hopes of being able to restore them, the current state is the best I was able to achieve. It is a real shame as otherwise the edges of these chips are sharp.

I am doing an auction as I have no idea of the value and am not expecting to get back what I initially paid for them. I am hoping someone can get some use out of these.

PLEASE SEE ALL IMAGES AS THESE CHIPS ARE BEING SOLD AS IS! I can post any additional pictures if requested.

NOTE:
- it seems that on most chips one side was able to get cleaner than others
- some inlays are discolored as when soaking the chip the marker was able to get into the inlay
- the pic I have posted is both sides of the same chips (upper left chip is the same in each picture)
- some spots are faded due to cleaning

Do you mind sharing the steps you've taken to clean them? Was this after an ultrasonic bath?

I tried a lot of different things. I only included the best ones, a few are very discoloured and mishapen.

What worked best was non-acetone nail polish remover and rubbing alcohol. Magic eraser also helped. No matter how long the chips soaked there was only so much that would come off.

I did wash these with an ultrasonic today (pre-pictures), but it didn't make a difference to the markers. I have 2 more barrels in case anyone ever comes up with a cure.

I also have some roulette chips that I have made better progress on (since it is in the edge), but it never quite comes out.

The top chip on the right is a warning as to what acetone nail polish remover can do.
