Hi PCF,
Another Aussie here, seems like there is a small bunch on here representing Oz. I have learnt through my previous chip purchases that we really get bent over with international shipping, as stacks of chips aren't light and everything seems to be in the US! (I think one of my first sets was about $400 for the chips and $200 in shipping ).
I have been lurking here on and off over the years, and as I've recently launched into a poker table build, I've been glued reading the table section of this site for weeks, which of course lead me back to looking at poker chips, and thought I'd better sign up for a change!
My main home tourney set are Valentino ceramics which I've enjoyed and had for over 10 years now, and I have a small collection of random sample sets gathered over the years (including my favourite Top Hate & Cane Paulson's - wish I had pulled the trigger on that full set when I got them!). And I have also held onto a little collection of low denomination chips from the Australian casinos (which funnily aren't Paulson or clay, but a plastic type - guess they all went for some security feature chip?).
Once the poker table is complete, my next purchase will likely be a set of China clays for a micro-stakes home cash game - looking at the Majestics, don't think I'm at the point of going for custom or relabeling yet. Also considered the Royals due to their colours and edge spot progression, but haven't come around to the 43mm, and the stock Majestics have a 5c which would suit the game I want to run.
Enough words for now.
