Aurora star inspired hot stamps (1 Viewer)

I think lavender is closer to the original T500 base, but retro lav probably works better with CPC charcoal in this lineup -- all depends on how true to the AS set you want this to be.

I would definitely use lavender for the T5000 spot, though (with either dg green or saturn yellow).
In that case I'd probably stick with retro lav for T500, I can change the T5000 though

New update, ended up finding (and purchasing the license for) what I'm pretty sure is the Aurora star font. Mocked up a new design for the hotstamp with the new font, thoughts?

I'm driving myself nuts trying to figure out this design. I keep looking at it and I'm just not sure it's even possible to fit the southern cross into the design and have it all legible. Haven't done any test prints yet but it just doesn't look like it'll work.

I am very interested in what you are trying to accomplish here. I have also always loved the colors and spots of AS and think that if I were to ever get a custom set, it would be something exactly like what you’re doing here just with a different hotstamp.

I am following with much interest!

Thank you :) hopefully I do the originals justice as best I can with CPC's palette

Ok I think I have now finalised the colours, now to just finish the design.

Go with Retro Lavender and DG Tiger, especially if you're wanting this set to 'pop' anything close to the originals. Your mock-up in post #32 was far better than the latest one imo.

Is this better?

This is a yummy set design. Would you consider having others group buy with you?

From looking at the images, it really seems like the dayglo peach is closer to the base color of the T5000 chip than dayglo tiger. I don't have any Aurora star chips on hand so I can't comment on how the colors actually compare in person though.

In person Tiger is closer but peach looks nicer if that makes sense.
