As I had posted in the past, I have gone to Seabrook/Rockingham Park in NH to play some tourneys, their rake is steep on tourneys, usually 20% rake due to being a charitable room. Some pretty decent deep stacked tourneys if you want to play every so often. Def not a place you could go weekly and be a consistent winner due to rake

But I digress, as of July 1st NH poker rooms are offering NL cash games. I know there is not a huge love for strictly NL, but this is a huge improvement on the limit games they offered before.

Here are some of the strange law stipulations, if i understand correctly

at 1/2 NL you can buyin for 300 max, but only in increments of $150, so you need to wait 2 hands to get up to $300 total. You can continue to top off to keep your stack at $300

at 2/4 NL there is an uncapped buyin, but you again, can only buyin at increments of $150, so you could buy in for $10,000 as long as you did it $150 at a time.

Here is the 2+2 thread on NE Rooms http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/2...gland-general-discussion-1087641/index97.html

Here are the respective room links http://www.playatrock.com/ and http://playatseabrook.com/

I have not visited yet, been doing a lot of summer spending and trying to get my bankroll in check. Plan on giving it a go during August at some time, hopefully. Will report back once I attend.

If anyone visits, let me know how it goes.

GOOD LUCK

Very strange. Wonder what the reasoning is.

Might have to take a raid trip and check things out sometime. Unfortunately I work at the only casino with a poker room in Maine so I can't play here. Hopeing to get a rake free regular home game started next month.

Think it would be great to be able to open a poker room in southern Maine but Maine would probably require a full casino licence:-(

Think about it. Custom chips and tax deductible:)

I popped my cherry at Jokerz card room in Manchester, NH. I was up $1K in under 90 minutes. Players were HORRIBLE. Overplaying single pairs, overbluffing, chasing everything. I stupidly left to play in a bigger game with tougher players and I don't know why. Also... Guinness on tap! Pic of stack after 30 mins. Cute waitresses too. Screw Foxwoods. And yes, LOL CHIPES.

I work in the slots department right now, but from what I've seen the local regs aren't the best I'd imagine a good player could make some decent money fairly quick, the 1\3 game is always running, the 5\10 thursday game I don't think always fills up but more often then not. many days i almost wish i had another job I'm itching for a game, and i bet I could make money there... :)

Yeah for whatever reason that Thursday game has reached legendary status among some players in my circle. Apparently it moves to someones house to avoid the rake and the play is soft. I dunno, the legend probably stemmed from a single session that was reported locally but I do know several of us have considered driving up there (3 hours away). Now with NH NLHE I don't think there's a need. Hopefully PLO soon!

Next time you go, gimme a shout. I couldn't make it this time but I'll make it a point next time.

Yea I've heard about a number of underground games in the area. No sure how true the leg and is but there is probably something to it

I played at seabrook a week ago, and 2/4NL was capped at $450, and you could only buy $150 per hand. Quality of play was pretty bad, but the fish ran good and I was stuck $350 at the end of the night. I got up when the 2 big stacks (who were also the big fish) got up. There wasn't enough money on the table to keep playing.

So 1/2 is capped at $300 and 2/4 at $450?
strange

150 bbs vs 112 bbs

I dunno, I'm hearing different things. At Rockingham they were allowing unlimited $150 add-ons at 1/2. That seemed to be the case at Jokerz too. Who knows maybe either things need to shake out due to a new law, or certain card rooms are implementing their own restricted buyins on top of what the law allows.

From the 2+2 thread i was reading, each room is interpreting the new law differently, which is hilarious if you think about it

Should have interpreted it to include NL years ago

Yeah, I was disappointed at the $450 cap on a 2/4 game. The guys in the game were talking about how huge the game was playing ($7k on the table, 8-9 handed, most of it in 3 stacks). Didn't seem that big to me. It will definitely be interesting to see how things settle in...

Ah, those super sexy dice chips ..... didn't even know Jokerz had poker until a few days ago.

Now if only our NH politicians would pass casino gambling..... opponents say it will only bring drugs, hookers, and debt

I'm more happy with legal card rooms without casino house games.

I just made an unplanned 2 hour visit to Jokerz again, 3-5pm on a Tuesday. Full single table but had 2 full cash tables when I left as well as 15 or so playing a tournament that started at 5pm. The players this time were all regulars, everyone knew each other, friendly. I saw 3 people from my regular Friday night underground game. We all hated seeing each other because clearly this is fish country. My Friday night game is going to fold, no question. The game was a little tighter, but I ran up 150 up to 325 within the first hour using a tight table image after I showed 2 winning monsters early in the session and followed it up with a bluffing clinic. I ended up cashing out 250 (+100) after losing $125 in a pot (my 3rd flush QTss << nut flush A4ss). Aside from that, very happy. Again, 2 cute waitresses whom always asked for beverage or food orders. Good sports bar there too in case Berg and I decide to mega hammer before the game.

Berg, will definitely be attending Fridays (except this Friday due to vacation in Maine) so plan ahead!! Get over there!! You'll love it.

EDIT: Totally forgot but when I left I noticed 3 people on the interest list for PLO. Wheeeeee! Again, Tuesday afternoon. I'm sure PLO will be running on weekends. They close at 1am on the weekends FYI.

You've mentioned cute waitresses twice with no pics.

Yeah, agreed. Pretty much trolling at this point absent photographic evidence. His standards are so low that I'm willing to cut him some slack until we have proof of life. [emoji12]

Disclaimer:

My standards are definitely low, I've banged the same woman for 22 years so my itch is like POW level. Also, I'm in New Hampshire. Hot chicks don't move here, they move away from here to somewhere warm. What little hotties we have, do not work as a waitress in a small card room, so expect solid 7/10 versus Vegas girl ass pics. The waitresses at this card room all seem to be especially friendly so that always ups it a notch IMO.

Berg and I are going tonight to rage it up at their sports bar then donk off chipes so I will try to get a pic.

22 years? Yowzer! Has Stockhome Syndrome set in yet?

Yes that kicked in year 1.
Serving Berg an IPA. Sorry, its as perv as it gets without getting busto. Roulette wheel degens behind me.

Did not know NH gambo age is 18.

EDIT: Tapatalk didn't post pic. Posting in later post.
