Headed to Atlantic city next week for a little get away. Headed there with the gf, so it won’t be a total gambling trip, but definitely plan on getting some poker in. Since neither of us have ever been there, any tips or recommendations on food/poker rooms/activities/etc is greatly appreciated.
The internet makes it seem to be like Vegas’s little brother. lol

Agree with love for Borgata. Though, Ocean Resort Casino is worth a visit now too, not for the poker though. Its just nice new and clean.

Theres also a location in the recently rebuilt Hard Rock Casino. Not sure if theres a difference in the food, but HR has some nice stuff for the eyes.

I was there a few weeks ago and was SUPER impressed with the Ocean Casino Resort (used to be Revel). Much nicer than Borgata IMO, and much less smoke.

If your looking for a place to stay, Oceans is definitely the place. If your looking for a good poker game, it’s definitely Borgata.

Another vote for poker at the Borgata, but I will say I enjoyed playing poker at the Tropicana as well.

This, pretty much. Great poker room/casino, fantastic restaurants, incredible pools and spa. You really don't have to leave.

Definitely a must! And who knows, you might even get to play some $2/$5 with Ted Forrest or a tournament with some other legends of the game.

Borgata - great poker room. Played in the $220 bounty tourney last night. Was only like 25 entrees. I finished 4th and top 3 paid. I was pretty pissed lol. I did however make 5 bounties ($500) so it wasn’t totally bad.

Yes. Ever since that debacle a few years ago with the guy putting the counterfeit 5000s into play.
They still use the Paulson T25 and T100 but all denominations above the T100 are non Paulson.

Ugh, the mixed chips drove me insane lol. I hated them. I think (not 100% but the t1000 and t25000 felt like paulsons. They weren’t the shitty plastic ones)

I see that. I thought they had gotten rid of those and gone to the mostly plastic. Maybe they are transitioning back to the Paulsons.
It’s been mostly the shitty ones the last couple years.
