Hi and thanks for giving me a few moments of your time!

I would like to find out an approximate value of an unopened deck of 1969-1972 Caesars Palace playing cards. They were made by USPCC "BEE"

This deck was for casino use. Never opened!

I heard that unopened, unused casino decks are tough to find.

Please give me your thoughts..

Thank you again!!!

Got your PM. Have to say I am blushing at the referral. From your PM I gather that this is a single deck? Is it narrow or wide? I am curious to see how this is packaged. Staples? Steel bands? Can you post some pictures? I am not sure they would be worth very much. Looking at sealed decks from shuttered Vegas casinos on line, you are looking at asking prices of around 10-20 bucks. There are a few looking to get over $100.00 but I do not rate the cards worthy of the price and think it is a scam. I am going to "guess" that these were destined for a table game, rather than the poker room. Still, it is an intriguing little item, based on your description.

Apologies for not answering via PM, but I do not want anyone thinking I might try to finagle these off of you. Besides, I cannot be the only card junkie who is interested in taking a gander at these.

Oh, okay.
Not a single deck. A sealed case..
Here are some pics.

Still think it would be something for the table games, based on the manufacturer, as I am pretty sure that even back then, the Card Room used Kems. But WOW, that is something. what are the dimensions of the box? Trying to figure just how many decks might be in there.

Please give me your thoughts.

I don't know much about them.

1969-1972 probably

My thoughts are this . . . I have NO CLUE as to value. I am going to assume, absent you opening the box, that these are paper cards. How do you arrive at thinking these are late 60's early 70's cards? Is there something on the postmark? Something on the box stamp pictured? Personally, I would be sorely tempted to open the box and look at the treasures within. As the individual decks are likely to be rather limited in value for sale, I would probably end up giving some away to friends who understood what it was they were getting.

BUT THAT IS ME, AND I AM IN NO WAY SUGGESTING YOU DO THAT.

Mostly, I would love to hear the story about how you got these.

eBay!
I always modify my searches.
There were already like 10 watchers and I made a low offer and he accepted...

Sounds about right for poker sized cards, 3 rows of 12 decks times 2. What about your date estimate? Where does that come from?

The only time I have ever seen anything like that case was watching them change the decks at Casino Brantford's Card Room. Even that was only the smaller interior boxes on a trolley, never something like that thing.

If you look at the box itself and the fonts used on the label. The time period that uspcc was owned by diamond international. Bla bla bla

eBay?!? You win. This has GOT to be the card purchase of the year. Please tell me you got it for less than $300.00 because that would be the STEAL of the year, as well.

Have to admit, I have never seen the like of it. That is really something. So . . . not even tempted to open it up?

Many times in my life I have been very lucky on purchases that turned out very well.

I have a great feeling about this one...

Could be wrong, but wth...

Well, based on that other thread, I think you made a fair deal. Even if you break it down to a "per deck", it is not outlandishly priced, especially if you throw in a premium for it being a CASE, and still having all the mailing ID info. Pretty cool.

I probably should find out if there is card collectors convention.. maybe an annual auction. Or a well publicized vegas collectibles auction

Lol no way!
I mean do you plan on just displaying the box? Trying to resell the whole thing? If you're trying to sell em, I'd imagine you could sell a lot of decks to recover your money then hang on to some, give em out as awesome gifts, etc.
