This is a set on the diamond-square-square mold. Similar to MD50 diasq but has 2 squares instead of 1. I believe this mold has been retired for a while.96 off-white , 96 red, 72 blue, 24 yellow. Do not know official color names, sorry.
I call these the Hong Kong Club. You can call them watchu want. :D
$200 + shipping.

Looking for $500 and $1000 chips as per my signature, if you have any to trade.

Typically the larger center initial represents the surname.

Or you can chose to read them left to right if they are a club name and not initials. I think HKC for Hong Kong Club is a valid naming for this set.

What you see and how you are supposed to read it aren't the same. You don't read these left to right.
It reminds me of the Kids in the Hall sketch.
"Hi Darrel"
"That's DaRILL."
"Oh, yes. Hi DaRILL"

I still read them left to right. To me, it just looks like the one in the middle is bigger because of the space constraints rather than desire for emphasis. I don't think I could see them differently unless they were layered to look as if the smaller ones were in back.

I know how one is supposed to read the letters, and I also know that it's sorta stupid to have consecutive letters that aren't read consecutively. So, for that reason, I decided long ago to boycott all hot-stamped chips like this (and anything else that uses this type of formatting), unless the letters involved are obvious. Like BBB. or AAA. or KKK. But not ETC.

One's initials can be represented in two ways. As an example, Michael Boyd Smith's initials would be MBS (regular order, all letters the same size) but his monogram would be MSB (surname in the center with a larger letter or some other special treatment). The stamps on these chips suggest a monogram to me for a person with a name like Harold Charles Kramer. A card room by the name of Hong Kong Club, however, not having a surname, so the initials would be HKC with all letters being the same size.
