I have an old well-rounded Horseshoe chip on the Horseshoe mold (I believe it was made by ASM). Even though it’s been around and back, the texture along the edge is what I would describe as “gritty”. Feels amazing for a worn chip.

Paulsons of this condition (I have a ‘98 Bellagio as an example) feel slick and slippery.

Is the difference the brass flakes in the ASM?
I have a CPC Rounders set that I LOVE the feel, the edges are the same “gritty” feeling, I’m thinking the brass flakes.
Can I expect that texture to remain as the chips wear?

One of the older chips in my collection. They were certainly used. They still have that awesome gritty feeling and I don't think they have brass flakes.
