Not sure exactly how much is the import tax for Canada, but it still might be viable to split it.

FWIW lots of Canadians have looked into doing Canada-specific cards mold group buys, and the general consensus is that it's still cheaper to have it shipped to the US and then reshipped to Canada based on freight costs, and the import taxes charged on freight at the ports
