Hey All,
In the hunt for a quarter for my Benny's relabel project (my very long and frustrating hunt), one suggestion was the Binions blue $1 chip. Now, this chip looks awesome in this set. And I was told that if I didn't put this set together, I should be kicked in the pants. So, I'm determined to make this set happen (seems like it's meant to be together).

I a thread on a different forum, someone offered to snag a few Binions for me next time they went to Vegas. However, this fell through as their itinerary changed and they never made it to Binions.

The quantities I need are (200-300). However, I'd take as many as this person can snag me. On the other forum's thread on Harvesting chips from the binions, most people indicated this was super easy, since casinos don't really care about the ones (they cost the casinos $.75). I've read that the casinos actually make money on all harvested chips ($1 and up), so some don't care. I know of someone (cough) that harvested a few chips from a local casino, but these were a couple.

OMG, this set would be epic!!!

Good luck with your quest. That said, I think you might have the profit loss thing backwards. All chips would cost about the same, regardless of value, so they would make the LEAST amount of profit from harvested $1s, as opposed to someone spiriting away a rack of $5s, for example.

I don't have it backwards... I'm referring the casinos being uber protective of their quarters. Which cost them three times as much as their face value... Every quarter going out the door is a huge loss. The buckeroos, not so much. But, true, they make more on the $5's. :)

Sorry, I wasn't clear enough. Obviously they are more protective of the lower denoms and fracs, as they represent a higher cost than face value.
