I got these chips a while ago, on the bay, I took a big lot of 700+ chips, from the club owners, who found them in the basement, harking back to a time the club was a known cardroom in the area. There’s other chips/colors in the chip registry thing, but these aren’t really there yet.

I would say about 1/2 of the lot was mint, not played, the rest were well worn down, blues were almost all mint, plenty of mint reds and maybe only a few barrels of unplayed whites, with the whites being the worst of the lot.

My questions for you guys that collect single chips.

1. Do you all want sample sets?
2. How much do chips like this go for in the singles market?
3. Would it be sacrilege for me to mill and relable these chips?

The reason being, I scored another lot of DIASQR with minty whites, a rack of yellows and even more blues. So it’s starting to look like a huge set I could build on this mold, but the chips -as is- are pretty hot, but I need a project, and now I have about 1000 DIASQR chips,

I am a sucker for nostalgia and history though, and I just don’t know enough about the singles/underground casino market to just hack up these beauties.

School me chippers.

Not at all. I think this would be a great mold to do some milling on and get some custom labels. Should look fantastic! If you are milling yourself, and are looking for any different colour than these, I may have some around in limited quantities - feel free to PM.

Selling them on the open market would not net you very much, about $0.50 a chip or less, in bulk.

Looks like you have a killer cash set, ready to be milled and labeled! DIASQR is my favorite ASM/CPC mold.
