Are these chips fake? (1 Viewer)

I remember looking at these when they were new and I went with Pharoah's instead. The Casino de Isthmus chips have several editions some with and without rims/recessed centers. I avoided them then because the different versions of the chips were often poorly differentiated at online dealers and this seemed like a hassle for add-ons and receiving the wrong version in error etc......

Wait a minute.....@allforcharity did you recently move to Staten Island NY USA...and do you have a bunch of Casino de Isthmus?
We’re onto you. First you’ll take all our money with shiny pictures of chips and while we’re distracted you’ll steal our women too. Hats off I aspire to that level of badass.
Perhaps they're being sold by a member?

Nope, nothing to do with me.

Well took me two years to build my set. The Thousands ran between $3.75 and $4.25... the get blasted left and right by many on the forum... but outside of this little place these chips are still extremely desirable in the home game. Like WTHC I think many remember them as the first "real poker chips" they ever saw/ played on... people want what they know, maybe to recreate a memory or whatever.

Anyways a short while back these were bid to this price

Multiple times this happens! I understand small lots are not the same thing as selling in racks or sets

Ohh wait...

Notice the second one shown here says best offer accepted... the full (tiny) set? Does not... nearly $6 a chip!

Over and over everyone here says those guys are idiots on eBay and don't know what they are doing... well I can definitely tell you PCF is absolutely not the platform to sell CDIs on in this market. They sit on the forum for $2.50 a chip, absolutely anyone can buy them and flip them for massive profits on eBay... but remember as stated above. $2 a chip! Lol
