I've been looking into getting some custom ceramics from BR Pro. The main thing giving me pause, is that the only ceramic chips I've used, I was not a fan of the feel. I have a sample set of 'Classic Ceramic' from thepokerstore (not sure who actually manufactures them), but they feel much too slick/slippery for my liking. I can still shuffle them just fine, but I greatly prefer the feel of the claysmith milanos. I even think I like shuffling and doing chip tricks better with the slugged Monte Carlos (minus the excessive weight).

Do other/higher end ceramics feel noticeably different from these? I know the real answer is "buy some sample sets", but I figured I'd ask the question while waiting for shipping.

Picture of the chips I'm talking about. They're about 0.40/ea

I'm no ceramic chip expert but I didn't find the tiki kings to be slick at all, probably the best feeling ceramics I have used. Only you will be able to tell if the feel is acceptable to you so samples is the best way to find out.

Full disclosure, I was a ceramic hater early on in my chip collecting days but a high quality ceramic chip can feel very satisfying to stack and play with for sure. The BrPro blanks feel good to me.

@BR Pro Poker ceramic chips feel awesome IMO and u can fully customize them (and get 43 mm big boy chips if you want). These also hold up great and clean easily. I used my ceramics (chip co chips) for well over 15 years and never had a problem.

My Valentinos from BRPro are not slick. Any ceramic is as good as the blanks they use. The chips you quoted are mass produced garbage and are probably made with the cheapest junk they could get because quantity means more than quality. Then they sat in a warehouse for God knows how long until they got put on a boat to go stateside and sit in another warehouse for God knows how long. A good ceramics manufacturer (like BRPro) makes items on demand. The chips aren't made until you order them. They keep a tighter control over quality because quantity means nothing to them. Do yourself a favor. Stop buying mass produced garbage.

Yes.

I purchased a sample set of ceramic Turbo from "the poker store.com". I noticed they are just a bit smaller than my Majestics from Apache poker. I really couldnt tell until I stacked them all together. The turbo ceramics are definitely like 1mm smaller. Are all ceamics just bit smaller?

Most dicechips/mass produced ceramics are 40mm. Most of the casino clays or decent ceramics come in 39mm or 43mm.
