I’m reading that book right now actually. It’s good, prepare to work tho

They both use the same toy game example to talk about strategies with polarized vs condensed ranges but Acevedo kind of rips through it and shows the math while Brokos walks through it step by step and shows and explains the math. For me - the Brokos book is much more like a class with example problems. He actually provides example problems and solutions. I will say that Brokos' chapter on condensed vs condensed ranges IP + OOP has very positively impacted my play/win rate as I work on moving up to 25NL Zone.

He also has really good material about how to exploit by deviating from GTO - how to assess the degree of the deviation based on the opponnent's play. Really good stuff. I'm reading it a second time before moving to his second book.

Damn I thought we were gonna talk about the car!!! Oh well......lol what does GTO stand for here?

I should pick up a book for a change and give the online courses a break.

I’ve been so rusty that I needed to jump into that new world. I’m reading the Brokos book along with this and have been very pleased.

It’s a good book for categorizing your opponents and implementing exploitative strategies against those categories.

Michael Acevedo, Ace I see? Is that really his last name? Or are poker authors inventing pen names like pornstars do their stage names?

Michael Acevedo releases his highly anticipated new poker book: Modern Poker Theory: Building an unbeatable strategy based on GTO principles.

In it you will learn the power of the button! How to play deep! Why you should punish the limpers and when to execute the squeeze play!

Pinkdan of PCF fame says Michael Acevedo's new book is: "For hard games."
