The poker room is decent, particularly if your game is PLO. In terms of NLHE, they typically have several 1-2 games and on occasion 2-5 as well.

I don’t play there nearly as much as I used to because our home game is running more frequently. Or was I should say.

are you all looking for 1 more when trump clears us for poker?

it’s not bad. Decent room and usually plenty of action. We also have Hollywood casino in Lawrenceburg IN just over the border. Both are within about 40 min drive from me.

House hunting has to be interesting right now. Our home game used to run every week ... maybe by the summer we can restart but who knows.

Nice seeing Michiganders in Ohio! I recently relocated to North Canton, anyone in that area? 1.5 hrs to CBus? Been to Hollywood Columbus many times. Like the cardroom. Nice and Big, No smoking which is nice. As you know Michigan casinos still allow smoke which is stupid IMO.

N Canton is only about 45 minutes from me in Strongsville.
We play $1/2 hold’em/PLO rotation. Also do a $4/8 mixed limit game once a month or so.

Sure, because obviously potential employers will scoff at a lowly degree from The Ohio State University. Barely worth the paper it’s printed on.

Is this soccer, or cricket, or one of those training teams for professional sports that American universities waste so much money on?

In the only college sport I pay any attention to at all -- tennis -- Ohio State trails Michigan, 73-14-1. OSU did win last year in Columbus, but I'm pretty sure that's because the Michigan team fell asleep from boredom before they could find their way to what must be the only decent tennis court in town.

I'm here in Columbus too. My friends and I typically play a high-flying $.25/.50 NLHE game. It plays more like a $1/$2 game.

We also have a poker league (play once a month for 9 months) where we send the winner to Vegas for a $1,500 WSOP buy-in. Been going on for 12 years strong!

C-bus has way better promotions than JACK. Good action in both rooms...and no shortage of good players. Be warned: OH poker is underrated. Lawrenceburg is good on weekends. Otherwise, better make sure there's a game first. They just opened a legal sports book, too.
As for OSU/UM, yeah...meh...sorry you guys couldn't get into Miami.

just outside Newark, Oh about 35mintues to cbus. personally i hate hollywood they never have potlimit omaha when im there . i wish sdowns would get approval for table game!!!!!!
as for my direction i head to rivers pa(stud), moutianeer wv holdem+ploh . sometimes i hit up wheeling island but it better be on a fri sat cause otherwise its dead.
