So I can get 300 of these for £95 delivered. Seems a good deal to me for my cash game set up, any ideas if they are CC or what time of chip they are, cheers

Those are called Crown casino chips.

They are not from a real casino. They sell them at walmart for like 90 dollars for a 500 chip set.

I have not handled them before but I see them for sale for very cheap quite often. I believe there is a hobbyphillic review of them on youtube.

Ahh thank you colter, so basically what your saying is they are one step up from dice chips? I just liked the denominations on them it would suit my game perfectly. Oh well I'll keep looking for those Paulson's or China clays with the denoms I require.

They are commonly available for around 14c (10p) each so GBP95 is about 3x what you should be paying!

@colter ripton, I don’t mean to be contrarian, but the Crown Casino chips I’ve seen don’t have words on the label, don’t have a quarter, and the $5 is red w/yellow. They sure look similar, though. Do you have a link to ones like those in @celticnoel’s pic?

And those are different than the Monte Carlos I’m used to seeing.

Monte Carlo Poker Room vs Monte Carlo Poker Club.

Both are heavy, slippery 14g injection-molded plastic with clanky metal slugs made in China, and sell for around 13 cents each.

So to summarise, a turd is a turd?

From what I'm hearing though £95 delivered for 300 doesn't sound a good deal to me

It’s daylight robbery.

You could get China clays for that price, or stump up closer to $0.80 a chip and get some sunfly hybrids.

That's a great first set if you go that route @celticnoel !

I did also spot a China clay set for sale in Europe in the classified (can't remember who) but the monacos are sweet (y)

Good to have another UK member on board.

Ordering from Apache incurs import tax with 100% certainty.

I just got some Monaco’s and I like them. They sound great. Very” clacky “and they stack great. I could easily stack 100 chips. No wobble. I like the brilliant colors. They have no mold but that makes them more stable. Hold a stack up to a light. No light comes through. That’s good!
Wish they had a 20$ chip but this set is perfect for cash games. With the addition of a 5cent chip I can accommodate buy- ins of 10 to 20$ For newbies. With the 25 cent chip I can move up to 100$ to 200$ to 400$ buy- ins with 1$/2$ blinds. It’s not the best set I own but it’s great. I’m not worried about who handles them or how often they’re played. They’re durable and good looking.

Cheers can't wait to get my hands on the samples!

14g is really heavy for a chip. Riffling them makes the back of my hand sore, whereas I can shuffle stacks of 8.5-10g chips for hours with no discomfort.
