Yup, that's me. You come onto a thread asking if Canadians are hosting games, obviously don't read the thread, post your pictures of your american home game, and then accuse everyone in the thread of not wanting to return to noramal. What does that mean? Are you calling me an asshole? I came in here...posted pictures..and was followed by political posts that put me off.
So if you're calling me an asshole...step up!!
Well...how about I bitch slap you when I see you in person!!Yup, that's me. You come onto a thread asking if Canadians are hosting games, obviously don't read the thread, post your pictures of your american home game, and then accuse everyone in the thread of not wanting to return to noramal.
The above behaviour, IMHO, equates to Asshole.
Next year fingers crossed!You are always welcome my friend!! Memorial weekend (;
I agree with yaThe Provincial election can't come soon enough here. Everyone is suffering though, at least we have dodged the curfew for now..... I couldn't imagine.
You're welcome anytime my friend!!@Seeking Alpha Social Club as soon as i don't t get locked up in some hotel for 2 weeks against my free will I'd come crush some beers (and odds are punt off a few stacks) at that fun as hell looking home game!
100%, mask will be the new normal and honestly feel like it will be that way for years to follow, especially in Canada.Normal just might not look or feel like what it used to (at least initially). I have a feeling that continued mask wearing (though not "mandates") will continue to be a thing. Awareness and enforcement of hand hygiene will continue to be a thing, just like smoking restrictions. Yearly COVID vaccines might also become a thing, just like flu shots are.

Mask wearing doesn't really bother me. So if it persists it's not a big deal. Wearing for an entire day can kinda suck but for quick trips and short outings it's not an issue.
One benefit, no one in my household has even had a cold for an entire year. So mask wearing and focus on hand hygiene has had a positive effect.
I feel that. I'm itching to host. I've my Christmas Short Deck game and gifts for my players still on hold lol. At this point, it's going to merge into my Spring potluck mixed game night too lolIn Alberta, probably the most lax province in Canada in terms of Covid restrictions, it's been illegal to have private indoor social gatherings since late November.
I was invited to a game this Friday and I'm going. Hope the host's neighbours aren't ass hats and rat us out. Another group has been hosting games on a farm as it's remote and zero chance of getting busted. But I've been too lazy to make the trip out there.
You’ll have to excuse some of my fellow countrymen, they can be the ultra sensitive type. A lot of us up here also want to go back to normal, but here in Canada we forever bow to the wishes of the squeaky wheels. This covid thing will never be put to rest here, hand wringing and masks for life.Oh hell...I thought I was jumping into a thread of peeps that wanted to get back to normal life. Clearly I was wrong. Carry on!!
I’ve been hosting biweekly. Is it against the rules? Yes.
Personal I can't stand morons like you who blame the government for not being able to control the virus but can't be bothered to follow the rules themselves. Maybe the problem is covidiots like you.Why not? A year into this we really shouldn’t be calling it a lockdown anymore. If the governments can’t manage this after a year they can’t really tell people they aren’t allowed out of their homes. It’s getting beyond ridiculous.
All is well my friend. We talked it out privately. No disrespect meant, and just a bit of a misunderstanding I suspect. Thanks!!You’ll have to excuse some of my fellow countrymen, they can be the ultra sensitive type. I’m going to to just let that roll off my back because I know you and I would probably get along in person. and I would imagine following all of the “rules” would certainly have a toll on mental health, it sure did for me.Personal I can't stand morons like you who blame the government for not being able to control the virus but can't be bothered to follow the rules themselves. I've never had an issue with masks, I really haven't.Don't worry guys, if we just lockdown for two short weeks it'll all go away.........
FWIW, here in Florida we've had poker rooms open since Mid-May. We have temp checks at entry, use sanitizer, masks and one of the rooms also has plexiglass dividers at the table.
The majority of folks I see in the Tampa area do wear masks (although not always correctly), there are rare instances of folks not wearing them, but few and far between in my experience.
I'm pretty sure if they continue pushing the always wear masks past May/June a LOT of people are going to stop wearing them regardless across the US.
I've never had an issue with masks, I really haven't.
Although seeing my friends lose businesses has been the biggest hurt. Millions of dollars and years of investment wiped out in months because we couldn't just quarantine the at risk. One of my friends is losing 3 restaurants in Manitoba. He tried to do the right thing and take care of his employees because it was "just two weeks", opened his hotels to domestic abuse victims, gave free food to people in need...
Unfortunately he did too much out of charity and didn't expect them to close him down completely in November.
