Heading up from Hampton Roads to Horseshoe with a contingent of four. Hopefully some other PCF'ers may be nearby or playing as well. Please hit me up if you are and good luck!

We will be cash game grinding Friday for the hopes to freeroll on Saturday. We are playing Sat, Feb 28th 12:00 PM 2-Day Event. Event #2C: $365 No-Limit Hold'em Re-Entry $250,000 Guaranteed Prize Pool. $300+65. Likely going to be in the 12pm starting flight.

Complete schedule: http://www.wsop.com/tourney/tourneydetails.asp?groupID=1109

Horseshoe has some solid looking chips if there are harvesting inquiries: http://www.themogh.org/cg_chip2.php?id=MDBAHC

I might be in the area.I can't play Saturday, but might pick another event. I might stop in for a bit to wish some of you Luck

Yes me and 12 of my closest buds will be there for event # 2 The 250k GTD .... heading up from NC on Thursday of next week.

The tourney did not yield the results I was hoping for but the cash games at the Show and Live were the silver lining...:) Long drive back in the snow but a great trip nonetheless....

2403 entrants, paid 252. One of the guys from my DC home game finished 85th. Flopped top and bottom pairs, jammed, caller hit his flush on the river. {shrug}

Posted in the live stacks thread, but I'll post some details here. I went to visit a friend who was in town from Seattle (this is her home though). She talked me into playing. Couldn't catch cards or a break, and was down to 3100 (10k start). Asked the dealer for qq. Utg raises, 3 callers....and I have qq. I shove. 1 caller and I hold. Later that orbit in my BB, I have Q8. Utg raises to 750 (150/300). 4 callers, so,I call. Flop was Q84r. I lead out for 2k, 1 all in and I call. I hold and am running better. Get moved, and the wheels fall off. Played ok , but went card dead... For the remainder of the night. Every move I made was picked off or 3bet. Down to 10BB left, I shove with AQ, called by 99, 9 on the flop and I'm out. 42/219. That was my first casino tournament in almost 6 years. Not bad. One guy was hoarding black chips, and always bet with big chips to get change. He had 20k in black chips, while the next biggest stack had about 2k (not sure if people do that to make huge stacks and look intimidating).
He was my stack before going card dead uploadfromtaptalk1425411742976.jpgfor 4 hours

Yet another reason to never play AQ again! Wish I had the free time to join in on the fun, but even on snow days my masters thesis work has been owning my soul. All I can do is drool over all the shots of minty Shoe tournament chips!

Ugh the tourney was so -EV...got tore up early with AK spades in a 3 way limped pot with a flop of Ah Kd 3c. Blinds were 50/100. The SB led flop for 300. I make it 800 and she calls. Heads up Turn was a Qs. She checked and I bet 1600 and she shoved her shorter stack of 3800. I had to call. She had JT and a blanked on the river. I doubled up to 7k with AA after that but never got a hand or any chance to recover. I bled away but lasted from noon until 6pm.

Cash was a little bit better as posted in the Chip stack thread. My one good session was at 1/3 and turned $300 to $1025.

Yes it was a good session but I really wanted to go deep in the tourney..it seems $ 365 with re entry lives a lot to be desired.... to many gamblers not enough poker.... going back to Main Event though re entry I think will be a better form of poker.... Still a Maryland Live fan overall but Baltimore has done a good job with this event overall. Great casino on the inside

Interesting side note on the picture of with $ 500 chips.... This was in a 1/3 game as the wait list was crazy during the re-entry Saturday . You cannot use 500 and 100 chips on a 1/3 so I was chipping up to leave max buy in as you know was $300 .. so I grinded my way up to over 2k and I literally stood up to play my last hand as I was racked up and ready to go and saw a J 2 5 rainbow flop on the button ... pre flop action was standard as there was 3 callers for 15 each ......UTG check, UTG + 1 bet and I smooth call $ 55 .. Turn was a blank ... LAG UTG +1 bets the close to the pot 110 or so .... UTG + 2 calls ... I decide to jam for $ 250 .00 ... LAG folds.... UTG + 2 goes all in.... its 3:00 in the morning .... ive had a long session but did not realize she was pretty deep stacked as well. I thought AA at worse......but I snapped called ( not my style but I was ready to go and felt the double up was assured .....) She holds pocket JJ ..... WTF .... lost $ 1000 and left like I was just bitch slapped by a tranny...... it was disgusting. So the takeaway .... never rack up and still play even if it is one last orbit or last hand baaddd karma .... you lose every time....comical. Glad to have the pics taken prior to shipping her that stack. It even took forever as the dealer made change for all the purples. I'm still ill as I type this thinking about it...

Just a kadrik-wannabe building a couple of nice racks for his home tourney set. Be on the lookout soon for an eBay auction near you!
