Yes, I know they're sluggers, but I'm just looking for an ok MTT set on the cheap. I only have a few tourneys a year, so I don't want to spend hundreds for the set. I have a barrel of the Monaco Casino chips, also from the same site, which I easily prefer to CC Majestics and Dunes, as the Monacos are less slippery. I'm wondering if these may be a bit less slippery, due to having no mold, and therefore more surface area. I may just grab the Monacos. I also kind of dig the Bud Jones/Matsui aesthetic.

I don't have any of those in-hand, but IMO they look great! If I showed up for an MTT and these were in play rather than stupid dice chips I'd be grinning ear to ear!

I bought a few hundred of those before joining PCF and sold a few barrels here:

Pros:
- They look amazing - colors pop especially the yellow 1000
- Cheap

Cons:
- In a single purchase some denominations had beveled edges, some didn't (uniform within any given denomination)
- Heavy - after handling 8.5g clays these will feel not like 11g bricks but 13.5g cinder blocks
- 4-5 inlay LABELS out of the 400ish I bought were peeling when I got them (expected with price I guess though)
- Purchased 50s in two orders and each order had a different shade (which would be fine if I hadn't explicitly asked if that would happen before ordering to which they said no) no issue within an order though

Overall: worth it if you don't mind the weight. I'd just make sure you buy all the chips of any given denomination you'd need in a single purchase to avoid differences in the colors.

Thanks for the info! Are they super slippery? That’s my biggest concern besides terrible QC.

Not inlays.

Yes to both.

Less slippery than dice chips and Matsuis
That's good to know. I don't like slippery chips.

I don't know how 13.5g became the standard, but I sure wish someone would do some of these with a lighter weight.
