Glad to hear this is good. I’ve been pondering watching it, but I worried the chess would be bogus and drive me nuts.

Chess is the backdrop, but at the heart of it. Is a compelling Hero’s story. Like a Luke Skywalker story.

Loved watching her growth and cheering on an underdog.

I binged this in one sitting and found it to be compelling, the chess was legit but not so much to alienate the non chess player, plus she is super hot so there is that.

Watched it and enjoyed it.

It's series like this and The Crown that amaze me. I'm only slightly interested in chess or British royalty, yet I found both compelling. Excellent job of story telling at a reasonable pace.

Then I look at all the other shows out there and I can't believe how bad they are. Midnight Sky would be my latest example - slow, boring, predictable
