I was just wondering if there were other UK fans on here. I thought we could have a reminisce about the brutal custom charges etc from bringing chips over...

Also, is there any sort of "chip conferences" in the UK? I just did a UK retro gaming one - and it was great fun! Far better then hunting games on eBay etc. My brother and I have so many games that we could have had our own stand.... :-/

Indeed! Hello and welcome. There are a few on here, @1pbce1 and @PokerShark, @hod too. I think the Brits have been slow on the uptake of this wonderful community. Maybe something to do with import vat and a horrendously weakened pound over the last few years... :x Oh, and the lack of exciting poker chips in casinos here.. But that should inspire us if anything! Not sure about any conferences though.

'UK fan' checking in. I'm so thoroughly pleased a forum like this exists and is so active.

Customs charges suck but you get a few people on here selling from the EU which isn't so bad.

Yep, very hard to find good stuff here, gotta always keep looking

Hey guys, relatively new around here and based in the UK. Quick question around the import charges, do you mark the packages as gift and/or tell the shipper to declare a low value ? Does that not help? I mean it's not like they would question the value being too low considering most shitty plastic chip sets sell for 50 quid or less.

Another one here, Hi, not actually got a set of chips yet but I have brought samples off one member.. looking to pick up a set next year..

In london, I found a few years ago in a street market 300 chips C & J of an old casino for 50 pounds all, used in a labeling project.
Good luck in your hunt;)

After joining the forum in April I spent the next five months putting together a Paulsons tournament set that I love and will keep for life.

I also recently just got a ceramic cash set small stakes games. Not quite as nice as the paulsons but I’m still happy with them and can’t see myself replacing the set for many years.

Very nice I like the look of the purples which I assume are $500. Did you buy it all from the forum or other uk chippers?

Here’s a closer look at those $500s. Very pretty.

The paulsons I sourced from forum members based in Australia, USA and Europe.

The cash set I got from someone in England.

The colour mix on those is stunning. I have ordered some Casino Miami $5 and $25 from someone in the US as the design of the inlay looked fab. I'll post a pic when they arrive.

Here are my new arrivals and they are fab. I could do with some more $5 and would love to find some $100 ones.

Hey, UKer here also, I've just joined the community, look forward to posting and seeing all the wonderful chip sets on here. I'm actually in the hunt for a nice 300 chip cash set to go with my tournament set I already have.
