I have found the owner of all the chips made for the Million Dollar Cash Game:

YES - these are chipco. Although if the 5ks are missing it would be annoying.

I think this would take a brave chipper in the UK to buy the lot and split.

I suspect the level of interest to be highly dependent upon pricing:

> $1 per chip, very little
51c-99c, some interest
26c-50c, moderate interest
< 25c per chip, very high

And of course, available denominations and breakdown will have a huge impact on interest.

It really depends on exactly what he has, and what's his perceived value of the lot.

As far as the preliminary pics go, I think it's a decent generic design that could generate interest, pending quantity, breakdown, and price.

The ability of the purchaser(s) to legally add more denominations from 3rd-party vendors would be a big selling point.

I get the feeling that if someone offered him ~25c/chip for the entire lot, he'd be interested. Trust me I've tried asking for a full breakdown but he won't budge until I go to him with a potential buyer.

Pretty stupid to expect a serious buyer who doesn't even know what he's buying. o_O

A ballpark number of total available chips is a pretty reasonable request. 5000? 50,000?

At 8:56 in the video you see a ~30 chip stack wobbling - is this an issue with older Chipcos not being flat?

I'd be in for like a 1000 chip set if they were .25 a chip or less. Maybe more if they were cheaper

After just watching a few minutes of the video of the TV cash game, the buy-in seemed to be $100,000, and the 'workhorse' chip was the $1000. Blinds were 300/600 with a 100 ante. I didn't see any $25k chips in the stacks I saw, so I'm guessing those were just used for rebuys And as @1pbce1 said, there were no 5k denoms. Reminds me of how how one California casino 1/2 or 1/3 cash game I saw used $5 chips but jumped straight to the $100 chips, skipping the $25 denom.

Although if the 5ks are missing it would be annoying.
There never were any 5K's funnily enough!
This will reduce the interest in the set. A usable tournament set will have 4 or 5 denoms, with 2x, 4x, or 5x jumps to the next denomination chip. Having a 25x jump from 1000 to 25000 really hurts the usability of the chip set. (And as far as I know, no one on PCF plays cash games with 1k chips as the workhorse.)

Agree with what you said except they did use the 25k chips a lot, here's a couple of hands where they were used:

Ahh.. yes! The clip I saw were the shots of the hole cards from under the glass with chip stacks next to them. From this clip, it looks like they generally kept the 25k chips on top of the other stacks.

Interested in maybe a 1000-1800 chip set, pending price... the lack of a 1k chip is troublesome. Possible for another ceramic vendor to produce a separate GB 5k chip tha matches? Given that, the chips (sans a 5k) should be heavily discounted. Hoping for .20/chip range. Or less.

I've seen that show and noticed those chips; they're pretty blah IMHO. Generally, I'm a fan of casino-used Chipcos, but those chips would have to be nearly free to interest me.

Yeah they arnt great chips. But I still think they are cool because of the show and who was playing with them. I'm in for atleast 1000 maybe up to 2000. Get a count and a price from the guy and I'm sure we could probably get them sold.

.25 or less and I think a group buy would fill up quick

I’m interested, but how many I’d buy would depend on price and breakdown of chips.

Make up the $0.25, $1, $5, $25, and $5,000 chips, then. Make them customizable by adding text above and under the denom. Font used is Century Schoolbook.

If it was a single table show, someone smarter than me should be able to make an estimate of the number of chips they would need/have.

Then with that estimate, we can make an offer for the lot at 20c a chip of thereabouts.

Everytime I watched this show I had a hard time figuring out whether I hated the table or the chips more.

If you could buy the table and take a photo with the chips on it, you’d have a hall of fame fugly table entry.

Okay, tell him you have a potential buyer in hand -- I'll take them all at 10c per chip. How many does he have?
