Having found this site a few weeks ago and going cross-eyed checking out all the chip pr0n, I recently got sidetracked onto the ChipGuide site... I've come to the conclusion that all the live chips in UK/European casinos are horrific.

I know there are some good manufacturers in Europe (Abbiati springs to mind) but I've not seen any really good looking live chips. Please somebody prove me wrong!

Most (if not all) European casinos, to my knowledge, use either ceramic or good quality plastic chips (Abbiatti, B&G, Matsui).

Here is a pic of the Abbiatti chips used in Athens Regency Casino Mont Parnesse (courtesy of a friend of mine)

I can actually only think of two casinos that have any Paulsons... though I'm sure there's more out there.

Card Player Casino (Vienna, Austria)
- only these denoms according to the Chip Guide, the rest are all plastics. Two words describe these pretty well: UG and LY

Casino St. Moritz (St. Moritz, Switzerland)
- table games and cash game poker are all plastic, but the tournaments use these beauties... all poker is shut down there atm though due to COVID. These are certainly on my list of chips to try and get some samples of though when I get the chance.
