To murder or not to murder??

So there are a bunch of PCA relabels, especially for $1s. For the recored, I actually really like the PCA secondary $1s - their great spot colors, leaded goodness and textured inlays all but overcome the RHC oddity in the set. I have 9 racks of them  :ROFLMAO:

However....

Since initially acquiring my set years ago, I've always been intrigued with finding a cool THC substitute via relabel. There have been some cool ones posted like the aurora star and scandia $1s, but I'd prefer to stick with something closer to the original.

What's the thought on murdering some NYNY $1s?

Original lineup:

NYNY lineup:

I can't determine if I *really* like this lineup or if its too much blue. What says the PCF collective?

So the question is, do I keep the originals as is, murder and relabel, or follow my own recent advice to another forum member...

I think that the NYNY $1s look great with the original PCA chips, but either a pink or yellow frac would mix much nicer than those blue-on-blue pca stars.

Best-case scenario imo (cost, rarity, and moral issues be damned) would be to use pink Casino Aztar 50c secondaries with 25c PCA inlay replacements. Re-labeled pink PCA 50c chips (either version) would be my second choice, with yellow 25c pca stars, re-labeld pink AS $2.50, or re-labeled yellow AS T1000 chips as other decent options for quarters.

But I don't like the lineup with the blue pca star quarters.

We have very similar tastes in chips! I don't know if I could bring myself to label over aztar quarters though, and I doubt anyone would sell them to me knowing I had relabeling in mind

Hmmm...

(Slightly different shade of yellow but good enough for now)
