So I recently created a new checking account specifically for PayPal, and I tried to link it to my account today. It was ridiculous exercise in frustration and THREE different browsers.
Chrome: Attempt failed after looking up my credit union with a helpful "Something Went Wrong" page. Googled a bit, cleared cookies, no help so I gave up.
Internet Explorer: This time I got to the page to link my account. I had a long, hearty laugh when PayPal/Yodlee asked me for the username and password of my online banking account, then chose the manual (EFT) option. I provided my routing and account numbers, and got yet another specific and helpful message: "Sorry, but we need more information from you."
Finally, I tried with Edge and it worked as expected.
Seriously, why the hell are we still using PayPal? I happily use Google Pay and Venmo, but it seems as if PP is intentionally making it as hard as possible to use their service while charging ridiculous fees and imposing unfriendly terms of service.
