Greetings from another Norwegian soul soon to be broke because of poker chips (before even starting playing with them!).

I had my 1st phase of interest in chips a few years ago which faded out due to other things happening, and now it's back. That happened after I built a LEGO model of a Vegas-style hotel (called Le Gold, hence the nickname) which, naturally, needs its own chips. That is how I discovered this forum and CPC, so now I'm in the process of designing the chips and we'll see how it goes (more on that in the subforum where it will be ontopic).

I just read "Winter Fortress", a book about a group of Norwegian special forces guerrilla fighters during WW2. You have some badass lineage! Welcome.

Fjords. For just a second there I thought it said Fnord. Completely different.

Welcome aboard!!

Welcome! Looking forward to seeing your design forThe LeGold Casino!

Cheers everybody! Ok, here are a few images as requested.
The hotel is heavily inspired by two Vegas hotels (I'm sure many of you will figure out quickly which ones).

Welcome and that’s a great set! I see some mandalay influences, what was the 2nd hotel for inspiration?

Mandalay is indeed correct (the golden theme and the marquee with live video).

The Venetian.

Very nice Lego model! I can't wait to see your chip designs if you're that good with Legos!

This is incredible! How many bricks did it take to build the casino building itself?

Oh, sorry, missed that one! The building alone is about 27k pieces (that I know because I have a digital version), with the surroundings my guess is about 35k in total.
