Amazon Prime Day (1 Viewer)

Anybody found anything that's a snap call yet? I'm mulling over a Fire HD, but haven't jumped on anything yet.

I started buying dog food at Amazon a few months ago after I waited in line at Pet Smart for a lady buying well over 80 individual cans of cat food. Each one had to be scanned.
They sell the same brand and flavor cheaper, and free 2 day shipping with Prime.

Yep, we buy nearly all of our dog food supplies from Amazon via subscription (additional 15% off).

Somebody needs to buy that suit for @courage ... I will toss in $10.

Sweet, it'd go great with my other one.

The Fire HD is pretty dope, although might be worth spending the $150 for the Fire HD 8, so you get expandable storage... since you can download Prime movies for offline/travel viewing. Pretty sick.

No Wi-Fi, no problem—Prime Video downloads

Exclusive to Prime members, download thousands of Prime Video movies and TV episodes. Watch downloaded videos anywhere—on a plane, on vacation, in the car, or wherever you don't have a wireless connection. Prime Video is the only U.S. online video subscription streaming service that offers offline viewing, included at no additional cost.

Those marked down Fire 7s are good, but with only 8GB onboard, and no SD card slot, you barely have enough room for one movie after the OS and apps fill out your storage space.

I was looking at the Fire HD 10 for $150

Saw a 55" curved 4k TV for $650, thinking about it, but probably not going to pull the trigger. While my TVs are older, they are still fine, so don't "need", unlike chips which I don't "need" but can still justify buying. Maybe the 1 acre seed vault for the doomsday prepper in me.

Fire TV for $25 is a no-brainer. Load Kodi on it and you have a powerful streaming device. People sell them already loaded with Kodi for $100. If you have an Echo, and you order it through there, you can get $10 off. If you are in a Prime Now area, you can get a discount of $10 with code "getitnow", if you never used Prime Now before.

I made two purchases today. Wish I had seen this thread earlier. I'll be sure to come back if I decide to buy anything else.

I have two Fire TV sticks and haven't been thrilled with the performance. Had to clear all data from it a couple times to get apps working toward the beginning, and nowadays one of them fails to output unless you unplug it and back in. VERY happy with the functionality though and for the price I paid ($19) it was worth it.

I sprung for the full sized Fire TV to see if I can get more consistent performance, plus a wired connection.
