Hello,

I would like to hear how you would proceed to finalize a set I struggle for months to complete.

This set is a Horseshoe tournament 36mm.

I build this step in 3 buys:
- Initial set was a 6-max
- Made it a 16 players set
- Finally added missing chips to make it a 20 players set (which is the max players I want to cover)

My breakdown is:
- 200 x T25
- 200 x T100
- 70 x T500
- 230 x T1000
- 40 x T5000
Total chip count = 740

So I can cover 2 tables T20,000. 10 players with 8/8/4/7/2 and (4 x T1K per player for color-up) and 10 players with 12/12/3/12/1 (1 T5K per player for color-up).

The idea is to round the racks and arrive at 800 chips.

My main objective is to get 20 more T5K (1 per player) to boost the starting stack to T25K if I want and 40 x Buy-In (to be used as bounties or T10K and allow 1 re-entry per player when I want to play with te-entry).

The issue is that those T25K and Buyin are extremely hard to come by.

So I’m exploring other options to - usefully - fill the remaining 60 chips. Including relabel options.

For instance relabeling the Cincy T5K as 60 x T10K.

What would you do ?

Kid.

I’d know you only want this set to cover 20 players but if you had 30 more T500 and 30 less T1000 it would be the perfect base for running up to 24 players with 8/8/4/7 stacks, 200/200/100/200/X. Using 12/12/5/6 stacks you can host up to 16 players.

I’d do that then work on getting those last chips you need that match the set. Use solid 39mm RHC chips as the T5000 and buy in chips until you find more Horseshoes.

Thanks for the suggestion. The thing is, those T500 are also very hard to come by too.

I’ve also enough T100 and T1000 spares to push for 2 tables 12/12/3/12/1 but not enough T25 (I miss 2 barrels for that).

Do you know how much solid RHC cost (more or less) ? Using 39mm as « oversized » compared to the 36mm is also an option.

Another alternative would be use CPC for that. For instance solid Canary T5000 and solid Pink T25,000.

Would you do that ? I think it could be OK to use CPC’s as they would be the only 39mm of the set and even if I choose 39mm RHC the feeling with the original chips of the set would be different.

For the mold, maybe plain textured although Horsehead could work (Horseshoe... Horsehead... :) ) or H-mold.

Do you think it’s be heresy ?

It would probably tilt some folks around here. I think the no mold would blend in with the set since it is already an outlier at 39mm but would not be "contradictory" if that follows. The 50mm 500k and 1m chips in the WSOP main event are no mold.

I did not know that at the main event no-mold is used for high value.
Then if I go to the CPC Route, it’s definitely the mold to use...
