I just ordered some AIrtites from a SAFE collecting supplies.

They are crap.
Cheap looking
Cheap feeling and the 39mm ones are really 38.9.. Chip no fit.

Anyone please have the name/link to where i can buy Airtites. The good ones with smooth edges?

Thanks,

Pulled from another recent thread:

http://air-tites.com

or

http://jpscorner.com

same place, different web sites

The air-tites "direct fit" or with black or white foam ring are the most popular options. As for which one you choose, it's really just personal preference. The foam ring is nice just because it makes the entire chip a little bigger which is good if you're using it as a card protector.

Thats great thanks.

Definitely do NOT purchase from here..

people buy these from places that are not jpscorner? interesting.

I did a search here, but nothing solid came up for recommendations.

Whats strange is how bad the ones from SAFE are.

i just searched "airtite" (not title only) and got several threads. jpscorner is recommended all the time. at least now you know.

You mean you have to read the search results? What is the world coming to?:D

yes. Thanks. now i know. (y)

Thanks for bringing this up I've been meaning to reorder the barrel containers, they are awesome for shipping chips safely!

I think putting chips in airtites is like putting animals in a zoo. Some people like to go to zoos and some people think they’re horrific. But probably everybody would agree that on some level there’s something not quite natural about keeping animals in cages.
SO SET YOUR CHIPS FREE!
But my god, even if you feel the need to keep your chips in plastic cages, don’t put a foam ring around then. Nobody would want to go to the zoo if all the animals had foam rings around them!
That zebra has a nice face, but I want to see his stripes!

A chip in a large airtime with a foam ring makes a great card capper.

My display cabinet chips are in direct-fit airtites to reduce damage when I drop one on a hard floor. Note that I said WHEN, not IF.

These zoo creatures are dead, not live, and are to be preserved.
