I'm going to train these fish (myself included) to come up to a respectable buy in. I'll use the mint secondaries as bait/reward. I've already trained them to stop limping in (by showing some measure aggression preflop myself) so we need significantly less quarters than before. Teaching them they'll just lose their quarters if they limp in, in front of me. I'll get them to 50 bucks. I'm sure of it

Honestly, enjoy a soft game while you have one. You can play deeper, let them buy in for $20-30, it only benefits you with a deeper stack. I used to want to play with better players until I did, now I enjoy those soft games that help me fund my poker hobby.

Oh, and absolutely no reason to worry about mixing primaries and secondaries, they exist for this very reason. I wouldn't mix the same denom on the same night, but primary $1's with secondary $5's? absolutely.

Have a local pelican/Apache style pick and pull foam case to try. Clueless about racks....

They are factory new so I believe they need a good clean and careful oil. On first glance I noticed a faded stamp or two already. Word is these are cold stamped and even in the process of oiling it's possible to damage the stamp. Will give it a go eventually and report!

Very impressive, great first sets!

One word of caution though, if you ever want to clean them, cleaning ASM chips is very different from cleaning Paulsons. Just something to look for so you dont accidently stuff some nice ASMs

Sorry to have abandoned this thread. Was a reveting re-read for me personally to catch myself back up to all my prior trials and tribulations. lol

I stopped posting right when I went into hospital with a serious case of meningitis. Happily recovered from my near death experience now and took another 6 months to muster back up my interest in chipping. Now I'm back with a vengeance I think!

Have felted the HSI primaries and secondaries for my 25c/50c, $30 buy-in game. And alarmingly realised despite the many hundreds (thousands) I spent on getting the right frac solution, I don't have one!

I like the HSI secondary 1s, but my precious (expensive!) HSI primary snappers relabeled as fracs create quite the dirty stack unless I switch to the HSI primary 1s.
I tried to swap out into Harrahs solid green NCV 25s but they just don't look right at all. Awaiting a gear labels order for my Santa Ysabel 1's next....

Will try to provide some photos next game.

Oh yes I didn't want to overload the thread yet but I also have a bunch of Ysabel 2's on the way and no idea what to do with them. Also some solid orange and peach 50c fracs which I'm not yet sure what I'm doing with. I assume I will be trying to upgrade my home game from 25c/50c to 50c/50c or 50c/$1...

And then that reminds me of the IOC set I impulse purchased last year that has bright pink 50c fracs and provided with plenty of 25c overlabels.
What am I doing?? So unfocused.....

EDIT: And I just remembered the Indiana Grand primary snappers I got for.... I dunno why

Not at all. My PCA set mixes primary and secondary across the denomination range. As long as mixing doesn't bug you too much, go for whatever makes you happy!

Looking for a couple racks of Tigers but the current offering is for sets only. Would happily buy a set and peel of un-needed racks in trade or sale at cost price. If only I was in the US. My reshipper absolutely won't forward anything to a US address, overseas only. Anyone know of a service that does this or a fellow chipper willing to do for a fee? My start another thread

You can't really call chips"mint" once played,

I think if it was a “tribute game” or a “homage game” then it doesn’t count. If you use those words then you can do anything you want with chips and it doesn’t matter, you are exempt from any expectations or impositions. Legal and moral obligations are not applied to these situations.
