A .10/1/10/100 set. Yay or nay? (2 Viewers)

It is done. Ideally we’ll use the oranges as 10s, but if the set is unplayable then the oranges as .50s and the browns as 5s or 10s. Flexibility!

Now I just need a design.

Stack management may be difficult. There will always be 10 times as many 0.10 chips as $1 chips, and 10 times as many $1 as $10 chips. If you're using it as dedicated for microstakes with 0.10/0.20 blinds, then $100 would never see play, and even the $10 would be rare, unless you have the type of game where players rebuy multiple times.

Hypothetically, let's say you run 0.10/0.20 blinds with 10 players, initial buy-in is $20, but you need $600 bank in case the average player rebuys often enough for $60 a seat at the end of the night. With a 800 chip set, I could easily see a breakdown of:

400x 0.10
300x $1
100x $10
Bank $1340 (switching out 1 barrel for $100 will crank it up to $3140)

Everybody gets 2 barrels of 0.10 to start, with the rest in $1s, rebuys with $1s until they run out or combo of $1s and $10s. Tons of chips on the table early may promote more action. Pots will be voluminous. Hard on the all-ins and side bets. I can predict lots of change making.

But really, are there many who would be betting 0.90 or 9.90 in these scenarios?
Wanted to quickly follow up and give a big THANK YOU for suggesting this breakdown. Did exactly this, 400/300/100, with the Chip Room roulettes, and then bought an extra 2 racks to round it out to 1000.

Oh, so your descent into chip degeneracy is now officially my fault? Yet another thing to bring to confession (sigh). Enjoy the chips, they will be relatively easy to do a label replacement!

I mean, I was just thinking 600 chips, but that 800 breakdown just made too much sense. So yeah. All your fault.

You and @arch3r should exchange phone numbers and revenge plans, then.

@TwoHomie - Just block @allforcharity NOW. He is evil. He's an enabler. He'll get you addicted and then you just can't stop. He sold me a few solids for a small 1 table tourney set which turned into this:

And now I'm still collection solids for a cash set and currently have this stash to pick from...

IT'S ALL HIS FAULT!!! For the love of god and your sanity ( not to mention your wallet ) block him NOW!!! :ROFLMAO:

I want to get behind the .10/1/10/100 but I think the .10 would be the issue for our games. .25 or .50/1/10/100 would probably be doable four our group. Or even dropping the grace all together.

Annnnnd we’re back! Chips delivered yesterday. Unfortunately there was a bit of a PayPal error with quantities, so Jim and I worked out an alternative solution.

We landed on 400/300/200/100 of Pink/Blue/Salmon(?)/Brown

Do y’all think pink is to close to this salmon color? Dirty stacks?

Original plan was to use pink as a .10 and orange as my $10 chip, but that may not be feasible anymore.

I don't think Pink and Salmon are anywhere close to each other. Are you using them as-is (non-demon), or doing an label replacement with something custom?

Dumb question, but did those HSI roulettes come from this sale? (That's a different inlay than what was pictured or received.)

Yes, with an asterisk.

It sounds like there were primary and secondary HSI roulettes, and that these may have been the secondaries. I managed to place an order for chips that didn’t actually exist in PayPal’s inventory, so this may have been a bit of a one-off in terms of supply.

Very cool!

Denoms of .10/1/10/100? Sounds like a chipset from Casino Binary. :ROFLMAO:
Early front runner for a label design!

Thinking it’d be fun to subtly reference the unusual breakdown, so something like this, “The Xx” (Roman numerals!), or something even geekier.
