I am in Las Vegas atm.
My Telus LG G3 phone has died.
I need a phone desperately.
Can I buy an unlocked phone and have it work with my old SIM?

I am in a bind. A really bad bind, and I need help.

Just make sure the unlocked phone you buy accepts whatever size SIM you have, or that you get an adapter.
