I've played in those tournaments before....and your best option was actually to shove pre-flop. You'd have gotten two callers who just thought you were stupid.

The answer to the question is to instacall, though.

There are so few cases where folding AA pre is correct that this probably shouldn't even be a question, although I suppose there is some merit to the discussion about high variance situations. If you feel like you are drastically better than the field then I think folding becomes "better" but still never good.
