I'm ready to sell my awesome BCC Modern Clay set. The $20 are BCC, but not Modern Clay. If anyone knows what they are give me a heads up!

$900 shipped in the US - Price is firm, I'm ready to do a custom set and this is going to be the majority of the funding. Chips only, any case or cards in the pictures are not included

Breakdown....

8x $.25
165x $.50
249x $1
89x $2
115x $5
43x $20 (not modern clay, but still BCC)

The image for the inlays changed size at some point in their production run. For the $1's - 50 of them are 'small wreath'. All the rest of the $1's and all other denoms are 'large wreath'.

Condition - the 50 small wreath $1s are in good condition, corners are are getting slightly softened, and there is a little bit of color transfer from the red edge spots.
All 619 other chips are in very good condition. Sharp edges, bright clean colors, lots of texture, and some are still chalky.

The inlays are not very round, something I think BCC was known for at that point,

Love the classy design. Just bought some neophytes in my poor mans version. Wish I could get some of these some day. GLWS

Back in like 2006 or 2007 I got a sample set of chips that had the modern clay line in it. At the time, I thought it was ludicrous to pay $1 a chip and ended up with some $70 set of 500 slugged chips until I discovered this site in 2014.

So these strike a big chord in my nostalgia banks... love them and hope they find a good home.

:)

Bought a set of these off Empty Pocs back in the blue wall days. They served me well but ended up hurtin' for cash and sold the set for way less than I should have. Chip regret! GLWYS

There were also the ceramic Archetypes with the wreath, I passed on a tourney set of those for a great from the same person I bought most of these from, still regret that!

Yeah, I would love to get the prices today that scared me back then!

The $20's are Royal Classic Clays by BCC:

A couple of years ago I almost pulled the trigger on a set I found in some antique store in a state I can't remember. At the time I had about 5 other BCC set's so opted not to pull the trigger.
They are the chip that got me started.
Yet another chip blunder on my part.

Thanks, Now that you say the name and I see the pictures I can't believe I forgot!

If only we knew that BCC would go under..... they probably wouldn't have gone under cause we would have all spent so much money on them!

like Paulson Classic?

The feel is a lot more like Paulson than CPC, but they're a little lighter than Paulsons

Solid price. I really like these chips. I need another set like I need a hole in the head. The ones and the twenty's are fantastic. Its a shame that there are so many two's. More fives would be better, tougher for me to say no lol.

Good Luck with the sale. If I win big Friday night I'll consider it.

I found one of the chips in my drawer at work.

Free to anyone that wants to drive by my house and pick it up lol

Edit: oooo the other side doesn't look so hot though

Yeah, the $2's definitely don't help the breakdown. I believe it was worse when I got them but I picked up some small lots of 5's along the way to try to improve it. The 2's are ridiculously good looking tho!

Is there enough of a recess that if the two's were to be re labeled that I could just re label over the top of them?

Will consider split if ALL are taken. So far received offer on 20's and some odd ends, which leaves all the 2's and a $.50/$1/$5 break down of 150/200/50

Also considering a raffle, wouldn't mind some advice on it as I don't want to overload the forum with raffles since there seem to be a lot going

would love to see this go to raffle. can't get enough raffles...just can't get enough wins.

The Modern Clay $.50-$5 are by far the hottest lineup in a chip set I love, and those twenties are the stone nuts.

GLWS and congrats to the lucky new owner of these beauties!
