600 Chip Micro Stakes Set (1 Viewer)

Hi everyone,

I am currently working on building my micro stakes set. I cannot decide between two chips linked below. I need help with a couple things. For someone who has handled both chips which do you prefer? If I want micro stakes (.05/.10) how many of each should I get (.05, .25, 1 ,5)? Also does anyone have any they are willing to sell or know of anyone?

The typical advice here is also to get samples to see which ones you like better. (You may even decide you don't like China Clay chips altogether or don't want to wait for certain denominations to come back in stock.) I personally prefer the Pharaohs, as I like the different edge-spot/insert patterns, but it should come down to personal preference. Just remember to put more weight into chip denominations you will end up using the most.

I recommend reading this post about how many demons you will need for a 5c/10c game.

In short you will need:

Chips Needed - 500 Total Chips

100x 5c ($5)
200x 25c ($50)
150x $1 ($150)
25x $5 ($125)
25x $20 ($500)

More details and reasoning are explained in the thread. This is exacly the stakes we play and that post helped me tremendously understand my chip needs.

As for the chips, I liked the Majestics a smidge better than the Pharaohs. They're both great chips. I just preferred the style of the Majestics a little more.

This will give a bank of $755 which will be enough to cover 37 buyin & rebuyin

If you want a bigger bank you can swap 20 $5 for 20 $20/$25

Depending on your Budget, Ceramic are also good choice for starter set

Yes, this is good. The barrel swap for $5 to $20/$25 will help you cover stakes if you decide to increase to 0.25/0.25 or 0.25/0.50.

My 8 players set covers :
NL10 .10 - .10
NL20 .10 - .20
NL50 .50 - .50
NL100 .50 - 1

Yes, I feel it's needed. 4-6 per player is sufficient though.
