Hosting a single-table bounty tournament in my new poker room, here's the details:
DATE: Saturday, July 11th
TIME: 6pm - 10pm (structure should run around 4 hrs, give or take)
BUYIN: $40 (no rebuys or add-ons. $30 to prize pool, $10 for bounties)
FOOD: Will provide soda/water, byob. Plan to chip in $5 for pizza or Chinese for the group.
IMPORTANT NOTES: Game is 100% non-smoking. You can't even go outside to smoke and come back in. If you show up and your clothes smell like smoke or you just smoked before you came and it's on your breath I will have to turn you away. My wife is extremely sensitive to smoke.
We also have two indoor cats. They are friendly and don't scratch, but prefer to sniff your hand before you just start petting them . The poker room will be closed off with an A/C unit running, the cats are not allowed inside, no matter how cute they look. If you have allergies, plan to take something just in case.
We aren't playing for life changing money here, so please act respectful of others win or lose. Bad attitudes, berating other players, etc. will not be tolerated, keep it friendly (friendly ball-busting is encouraged, we are all grown-ups)

SOME BASIC CASINO-STYLE RULES THAT WILL BE IN EFFECT
These are rules I often find in casinos, and I have used them when hosting to ensure the game is fair and that the players won't walk into a casino and make some of the more common mistakes.
One-Player To A Hand/Collusion: This means you should not encourage someone to call another players bet (hey, it's only another 500, you should call!) or agree with a player to check-it down when a third player is already all-in. You play your game, let others play theirs.
Verbal Declarations Are Binding: On tv people often say "I call, and I raise". If you did this in a casino poker room, your action would be ruled a "call" since that was the first action you declared, and you would be unable to raise. If you plan to raise, you should announce "raise" so there is no confusion.
Larger Chips Used To Bet/Raise: If the blinds are 25/50 and you place one chip with a value of 1,000 onto the felt and say nothing about raising prior to this chip being placed on the felt, you have only called 50, you have not raised to 1,000. If, however, you use multiple chips it will be ruled a raise (i.e. blinds are 25/50 and you place two chips each with a value of 500 onto the felt)
String Bets: When making a bet or raise, you should put all of the chips into the pot in one motion. If you will be unable to make your bet in one motion, you should verbally announce the amount you are raising to, so there is no confusion.
Checking Motions: A player who taps their fingers/hand on the table when it is their turn to act/bet will be ruled to have checked and passed their option to bet. So if you usually tap your finger(s) or your cards against the table while you are thinking about what to do, this will be considered a check.
Table Banter While In A Hand: Many casinos do not allow this, but I do permit it, only when players are heads-up and there are no other players involved in the pot. Then players may ask questions of one another (if I fold will you show, you got the straight? etc)
Giving Away The Goose: You remember when you folded that 72 and the flop comes 772? Don't suddenly make a big production about it, because you're giving away that you had a hand that hit the board hard and the players still in the hand have decisions to make and shouldn't have this info. The same holds true for when the flop comes paired, or with a flush or a straight possible. Don't speak up and say "who has the [flush/straight/full house?]" Just because YOU noticed those hands are possible doesn't mean everyone is paying attention, and you may give away something that helps another player (and you shouldn't be helping other players to win)
