I’ll be starting my 3rd table build. First table I built was in college. No rail, just plain oval table some carpet padding then felt. Worked great, although chips were being knocked over and drinks being spilled. Then I built my second table. 44x96 with a nice padded rail. Was a great asset to the poker tourneys I’ve hosted.
Now , it leads me to my 3rd table build completely custom. I’ve spent the money and purchased a chanman cloth. Very excited about that to come in the mail. All my previous felts I’ve never glued. Any insight, is it good or bad?
I’m also gonna be doing a raised rail with opaque acrylic and led lighting. How big of a rail you guys consider comfortable. 5, 6, 7 inches? The raised rail is what I’ve been thinking the most on. I’m probably gonna do a 1 inch raised rail. I feel that be most comfortable. How do you guys attach your acrylic to the table? Route a groove in the rail or the table top, or double sided tape?
I’m excited on the build, thinking it’ll take me a few weeks to complete, unless the lady will allow me some free time
