Up for sale are 310 ASM A-mold chips in like new condition. The breakdown is as follows:
107 White Chips with green edge spots - 96 have PokerStars.net logoed black inlay on one side and either APPT (Asia-Pacific Poker Tour) or an ANZPT (Australia-New Zealand Poker Tour) logoed white inlay on the other side; 11 chips are same color but no inlays)
196 Red chips with arc yellow edge spots - all have either Pokerstars.net, Pokerstars.it or Pokerstars.com logoed black inlay on one side and a white APPT logo on the other
7 black chips with grey edge spots all have Pokerstars.net logoed black inlay on one side and a white APPT logo on the other

These are in ubelievable conditions. Some seem like they may never have been used. All have really sharp edges. In the attached pictures are examples of each of the different logos.

Asking $250 shipped. In addition I will throw in three 68.7 mm racks which fit the chips perfectly and a slightly used setup of Copag or Modiano plastic cards.

Thanks, BG, for the clarification on colors.

To be perfectly clear, Shaggy, I both saw the Craigslist ad and had contacted the seller early morning on December 14, almost 12 hours before you posted. I think my posting less than 5 minutes after your original post should serve as reasonable proof of that, but I am sure I have similar searches set up for Criagslist as you do. I am also happy to provide proof with a copy of the email sent to the seller if necessary. I would not snipe a deal that was first brought to my attention here if others expressed interest before I saw it.

Also, I'm not sure why there is a problem flipping chips and offering them first to the community here at a price that is below any price you will find on eBay or from any commercial dealer. These chips are going for $1.25 each on eBay and I am offering them at about $1. I wanted to give the community a chance to purchase them at what I believe to be a fair price before I put them on eBay. And yes, I flipped the Noirs, but again the purchaser paid a price that was below eBay prices so I believe everyone was satisfied.

As we all know, there is always risk taken and time spent when purchasing through Craigslist. One of the members tried to buy these but thought the risk was too high. I try to be perfectly transparent about what I am doing, but if any of you feel that there is something ethically (or karmically) wrong with this, you are certainly entitled to your opinions. Those members who have transacted with me know that I am honorable and fair.

All that being said, I obviously have flexibility on pricing so if you are interested, feel free to make a counteroffer or even a trade offer. I am looking for black NCV Pharaohs, $1 PCRs (or their NCV equivalent) and $5 PCRs (or their NCV equivalent).

Fwiw, when I do (very rarely) flip chips to the chipper community, I typically add 15% for my time/trouble and offer other chippers here a good deal. Offering them in an auction format also allows interested buyers to set their own price, relieving me of the responsibility. Not saying that's what everybody should do, it's just my method of maintaining good chip karma. Selling chips on eBay is another matter altogether.

I've made deals with the OP before, and never had any issues whatsoever. And he is free to conduct business here however he prefers, including buying chips cheap and marking them up 600% for resale here. But I would not characterize that as doing anybody here any favors. It's just business. Those that think his asking price is too high should submit a counter-offer, as he has suggested.

No thread carp in serious thread.

Thank you Shaggy and BG. I guess I got defensive since I felt I was being subtly (or maybe not so subtly) accused of taking advantage of a situation I happened to capitalize upon. I think what BG said very accurately describes the situation, as well as characterizing the situation as simply business. I never suggested that I was doing anyone any favors by selling the chips here at the offering price. I simply wanted to give forum members a shot at the chips first. I have never expected any favors from any member here in terms of pricing. When members have certain chips available (whether based on their initial offers or in response to requests) I fully expect to pay near or at market prices. If I want them, I pay the price being asked or make a counteroffer. I don't ask how much they paid for them, where they got them or how long they had them. Truthfully in an arm's length transaction between a willing seller and buyer, none of those facts are relevant.

I just think that sets like these would be the perfect opportunity that get a first clay set for cheap, espec. with current prices.

Is anyone interested in trading black NCV Pharaohs, $1 PCRs (or their NCV equivalent) and/or $5 PCRs (or their NCV equivalent) for these ASMs? I'm not necessarily looking for a 1:1 trade as the Paulsons I am looking for clearly have higher market value.

Alternatively, how many of you would be interested if I auctioned these off right here in the forum?

been there done that, pain in the ass.....just take offers...if nobody pays a price you like throw them up on eBay

they are your chips, doesnt matter what you paid for them, take whatever price you want....

your price with the extras and shipping seems fair

i just sold my spotted ASM 300 chip set for $240 on eBay after nobody wanted them here...cost about 10% eBay and 3% paypal so net was good enough for me.

yours would be good to pop off those labels and have some customs labels...my opinion, i sold BG a bunch of solid color blanks with recess for under a buck a piece....so there is a gauge of past sales for you...eBay link below
