Looking for 5 racks of $5 chips in good+ condition. Chips must be THC mold (except WTHC)
Willing to pay up to $900/rack (for mint). Less for worse conditions.

If you haven’t figured it out yet, you’ve stumbled into one of the problem spots in our hobby. THC $5s (in red or yellow) are extremely difficult to find in anything close to mint condition, and $8 apiece often isn’t enough, if you can get anybody to part with them at all.
But those lake elisnore $4s pictured above are probably your best bet if you want to relabel. They’re selling for $4 apiece in this sale in about 40 minutes. But at that price they’ll probably sell out very quickly.

Yep. My $5 leaded red THCs cost $6/chip to $10/chip.

For the quantity you want may even need to pay $5/chip for RHC.

You seem to have too many racks of CDI $5. I can help you with that problem.

JD $5 RHC has been at least $5/chip since I’ve been around here. Not even sure what fair market price is these days. No one is selling. I can’t think of any other RHC $5 at that price though. Mint HSI $5 primary came close at $4/chip.

All true, but that doesn’t mean it’s not crazy. Of course, everything we do around here is crazy, so there’s no need for me to cherry-pick.
But this is a good illustration of the point I was trying to make earlier. $5s are scarce around here because chippers want them in higher proportions than casinos do. So they get both expensive, and hard to find even when you offer a high price.

Totally agree. My JD $5s came from @Pinkdan and @mcguiles when I first joined. $5/chip was crazy back then. Then came @JoeBGo ’s JD set and I fell a few floors down the rabbit hole all at once. Opportunities are few and far between, short of muscling it out like @doublebooyah85 . After I switched to leaded THC my CDI98 $5s only came from the breakup of 2 larger sets and my Empress Joliet $5s are effectively whale rejects. Doesn’t mean these tires don’t clean up pretty though

And when I do get some nicer leaded THC $5s in small quantities there are many respected members here with preexisting sets looking for them already. Those FLV $5s are so nice @TricycleClub !

Best shot moving forward is TCR finding barrels/pallets of THC $5s and the inventory lasting longer than 5 seconds.

Thc snobs lol haha. I love me my rhc though thc are nice. But they never grew on me ? Maybe bc I’ve always handled rhc at casino I dealt at ??
