25NL Zone on Ignition: Broken bot or "strategy?" (1 Viewer)

I swear I've called a similar hand down 3x tonight and every time won the pot. Is this some new thing?
Hero opens to 2.5 BB. CO & SB call.

SB donks a pretty connected flop for 3/4 pot. I have the open ender so I call plus the sizing is fishy. I'm guessing he has a draw or 99. CO folds.

Turn cant possibly improve V but he downbets to 1/2 pot. Liking the downbet. I still have decent equity IMHO so I call.

River is a brick and he sizes back up. Well if I'm calling turn I'm calling river.

Weird donk triple barrel bluff. WTF? The Q and J hit my range - is he just not counting on me being a station and trying to barrel me off 1 pair? Is this a thing?

Here's the other hand from 30 minutes earlier.
Hero RFI 2.5BB, SB and BB call.

SB donk leads flop for 3/4 pot. Again same position SB vs UTG RFI. Sure this again is connected but with TP I'm calling.

Turn hits my range. V fires just over 1/2 pot - another downbet.
He could still be betting 2 pair, 66 or 55 here but if I was good on flop I'm good here.

River is a brick (edit: not quite a brick as 34 gets there) and he bets 1/2 pot again. Hero stations.

And scoops. Is this bizarre? This time V had no equity. Both times he's pretty deep.
Is this generally a winning play on connected boards where Hero is unlikely to have better than 1 pair?
Should I start doing this myself from the SB??!!

Don't try and convince yourself that it's strategy. Just don't.

First hand is just betting for thin value and you've got them pipped. That's gonna happen at the micros. You could get picky and want a check/call or check/fold on the river from villain.

Second hand? I dunno man lol. No guess there other than picking this hand to bluff.
