Found 25c frac for HSI set (2 Viewers)

Hello, I am about to purchase my first “real” cash set, HSI primary so the search for a frac is underway. I would like 1 rack but most likely 2 racks for flexibility down the track. I am new to this chipping thing so please go easy and I don’t mind suggestions. Feel free to add comments, photos and suggestions. I need all the help I can get!

Colours & edge spots - I’m leaning towards pink or blue, with a minimal edge spot. I could even be convinced to go solid.

Option 1. Already re labeled 25c Fracs. Saves me going down the re label road which I know nothing about.

Option 2. Original chips. Then I will figure out the re label myself. Will they need milling? I have no idea!

A few candidates that I like are LL 50c, Seven Mile $1, Primm Valley $1, Isles 50c, boulder station $2 (unsure about colour match with HSI)

Price? Unsure but around $200 ~ $300 per rack I suppose is realistic.

I got a few racks of THC solids a while back and milled them myself. The solids were around $100-150 per rack, and I had a drill press and spent $20 on a clean-out bit.
If you don’t want to mill them yourself, there’s a few members that will do it for you for a fee.
I used Gear labels for the 5c and 25c:

I knew the Lady Lucks were out of my price range. If I’m not mistaken Seven Mile $1 is a popular option at around $2 ~ $3 per chip.

Yeah it’s a project that will take some time and effort but it can be done.

You need some Santa Ysabel $1s.

They’ve been used by multiple users, but they fit the part. Won’t cost you a fortune (by todays standards) and I think you can still find some.

I’m planning to use Sycuan $1s, which @casinochipper22 sells from time to time. Fair warning that they’re a pita to remove inlays from if you plan to murder/relabel.

Seven mile is a popular other option.

If you don’t mind mixing THC and RHC, then milled solids are a really good option. Similarly, 36mm solid tournament chips are another fine option, but note that they’ll be a bit different size that your standard chips.


A word of advice - depending on the edgespots, yellow and the white primary $1 might be a bit too close for comfort. I’d considered using the yellow/brown Sycuan $2 as a frac, but was worried stacks might get dirty.

Would say the wear on these chips is, on average, similar to than the primary $1s.

Yes I have been through that extensively. I’ve kinda narrowed it down to a few options. But always happy to hear anyone’s advice/opinions.

Being in Australia it’s a bit harder for us.

I regret selling my HSIs. It’s actually my biggest regret to date. I had a beauty set one time.

On a brighter note. I only bought one other set. Ceramics (Port Royals) from Australia, cheapies And I don’t mind them.

Thankfully it’s a tourney set and even more thankfully my gang prefer a cash game as do I. So the HSI will be my first cash set. I just ballsed up this morning swapping out the ones.

Looks pretty good. Excellent color combination.

My only concern (if you are like most of us) is the differing conditions of the chips. You may develop an OCD with non mint and minty chips
