quick question guys.

For a .25/.50 game and sometimes .50/1.00 game, how many quarters would be needed. I have 200 now. Let’s say 10 players:) Thanks guys!

200 is perfect for 10 players, 1 barrel per player is the absolute maximum you'd ever want on your table.

You can also easily get away with only 1 rack by giving quarters to the first 5 players, the rest buy quarters from them... having 3 stacks of quarters is annoying IMHO.. I'll save the 3 stacks for dollars or fives :)

Some will argue 200 is perfect.

Others will argue 100 is perfect.

If you spend some time surfing these forums you'll see the #quarterwars debates (I mean discussions).

Early on, I was firmly in the 200 camp, but I have since been converted to the belief that 100 is plenty.

I have 200 so I’m good:) I don’t need to buy more!

If chips are unlimited, sure, go nuts with 200. But if there are a limited amount of chips you can own, whether because they’re so expensive, or even just because you can only fit so many in a case or a birdcage, then the number is 100.
FWIW, I own 120 in my .25/.50 cash set.

Lol. Pictures of your chips! Have you not visited the Poker Chip Pr0n thread here yet??? It's where it's all at...

I'm a 100 quarters guy. Since you already own 200, try it both ways, and really pay attention to game flow and bets. Go with whichever one you prefer.
If you ever end up with two tables, you have the fracs covered.
300 $1 chips is plenty for 1 table. 2 tables I would have at least 400.
If your game plays bigger, than just add more $5s ( I shoot for 400 $5 chips per table in the games I play in, but super deep games with high buy-ins will need more.)

Well this is my breakdown of PNY chips :)

200-.25
300-$1
585-$5
550-25
120-100
And soon 50-$500

I have a range of buy ins to be honest.
This is a good breakdown. I see you are heavy on the larger denoms but if I remember correctly you are trying to also trying to use these as Tourney chips?

Chip pics man or it ain't true. We want to see them stacked, racked and in a pile

Ahhhh I see! Well I am in the process of getting the chips very soon! I have chips from Josh at Apache that Are on their way, chips from detroitdad, and chips from another great chipper! They should all be here this Thursday! They will backmw up ;) promise I’ll send my entire stack then! This is what I got so far:)

You are correct! I want to use my breakdown for cash and tourney.
